  • Solid gaming board
This is a rock solid gaming motherboard. It has all of the features expected of a mid range board. The Bios is easy to navigate, and isn't too complicated for a less experienced builder, but gives old pro types all of the options they expect. This board was easy to install, with the manual connecting everything was simple. I installed this in a "bang for buck" system using a used iBuyPower case and AIO, so even with having to deal with some interesting wiring challenges it only took a little manual comparison to get it all wired. With an i3 12100f, and 16gb and an RX6600, performance is great. This motherboard integrates everything well, there have been no issues or glitches. I would recommend this board to anyone looking to build a mid range gaming PC, or just wanting a solid performing general purpose PC. ... show more

  • good deal that has enough power to let a 12700k stretch out
Seems like a decent quality board to me. I like the VRM heatsyncs. the Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 240 AIO's VRM fan lines up absolutely perfectly with the one above the socket. I think the integrated m.2 heatsync is a nice touch. I would have asked for another one for the other front m.2 slot but.. ya can't have everything. My ram inserted gently enough. The 12700k CPU dropped in like a dream. Everything lined up perfectly. First boot I landed in the bios, but hadn't connected in any drives at all yet. I hit f10 and enter, installed my Samsung 980pro under that nifty heatsync and it booted right up. No prompt whether or not to ignore Intel recommended power limit settings, which is appropriate as the k series Alder Lake don't have such a power limit like the non k versions. Without configuring anything, it for some reason dropped my ddr4 3200 lpx (32gb) RAM to 2133. I haven't fixed that with XMP yet. I was expecting to get 3200 without XMP, read somewhere that Alder Lake defaults to 3200. I'm blind so messing with the BIOS is something I avoid, no screen reader in there. Again without configuring anything, it lets my 12700k have 5ghz with a couple of cores, then it reduces 100mhz until 4.7ghz all p threads, 3.6ghz all e threads. I got a score of around 9300 with a 5 minute long benchmark in CPUZ 2.0 running on Windows 10. Windows 11 is supposed to be more efficient on Alder Lake than 10. Windows 11 features a couple of accessibility regressions at the moment concerning the system tray area and screen readers so I'm avoiding it for now. According to Core Temp and Hw Monitor, at max load with the CPUZ benchmark, I'm pulling around 144 watts. I don't seem to have any of the temp sensors going off the chart except for some obviously extraneous readings like the one that says it's at 65560f lol. At idle, when not stuffed in the below mentioned kitchen cabinet, my temps around 73 f when the house is at 71. I can't complain! On the whole, everything that is not the CPU is staying between 72 and 120f no matter what I do unless I do something really stupid like let that benchmark run for a long time with all fans set to 0 percent while the whole thing is stuffed in a kitchen cabinet (yes I tried this). Btw, since you asked, I put this in a Raijintek Styx. I'm blind as mentioned before, so I don't have a GPU mounted on this at all. Mom says there are pretty lights on the motherboard. ... show more

  • First board not picky with Ram
I have had a terrible time with ram compat lately. I have had several different 4300mhz sticks that haven't worked in 460 and 560 motherboards. I paired this board with a 12700k and a Noctua cooler. I have purposely tried five different pairs of memory and it was happy with all of them. This is rare for me. I have returned probably 6 different sets of memory to Amazon for not working in other boards. This is the first board that didn't fail. I only use Asus boards since 2003. This is a glowing review for me as I am tough on reviews. Would recommend. I do not overclock, so I do not have any testing info on that. This one just works. Asus tech support and RMA process is terrible at best. ... show more

  • Looks great
Love how this mb looks and runs what I need no problem. Only thing I thought sucked was a tiny clip was broken. The clip for the aio fan was bent and I couldn't get my wire plugged in, so I just completely removed the clip and I was able to plug it in. Other then that loving this mb and Asus.

  • Great Value & Great Performance
These are my Go To motherboards for Gaming PCs. You do pay a little more for the TUF board vs the other low to mid tier options, MATX keeps the cost very reasonable, you get a nice step up to WiFi 6 and way better connectivity compared to the more budget B660 boards. I built 2 budget builds at the same time, one with this board and one with the Asus B660 Prime and you dont really appreiciate those couple extra fan headers until you are doing it side by side. I had to run 2 fan splitters on the Prime build to get 3 fans to work, thankfully it was low power parts and the fan curve was not super important. Overall its those kinds of little differences that pushes me to use these over the low budget options. You get enough to justify the extra cost. ... show more

  • not ready for gen 13 CPU out of box
Board works great once its updated for a gen 13 CPU. i had to install a gen 12 CPU and load windows from there to be able to update for a gen 13 I9 processor. once that was done, no issues at all.

  • Solid budget motherboard! Just wish it had better audio...
This motherboard worked great right out of the box for my very first PC build. BIOS is pretty simple to use and the board looks good for an all black build which is what I was going for. It does have a basic audio codec which sucks so if you have another $30-50 to spend I would suggest something with better audio, if not this is a good option especially for more budget builds. Paired with an i5 12400f and RX 6800. ... show more
