I Used this in a fedora linux system, so it really requires nvidia specific drivers from nvidia to take full advantage of it features. These drivers are not part of the default drivers provided by fedora/redhat. If using for a windows system then you may not have any issue taking advantage of all the advanced features. Although I have no experience with any windows applications so I am not sure about that. I tried using this card on Linux for a stable diffusion AI server and the 8gb version of this card was not adequate for some modeling. I’m surprised by how quiet this card is. When driving a 5K monitor at 120 Hz for typical office work, the fan never even turns on, as temperatures stay below 50 °C. Despite having nearly double the TDP of my previous card, the large heatsink makes thermals a non-issue. Since this is OC version, switched quiet mode on to be default. Installation is relatively straightforward, though the card’s size means some rearranging inside the case is required, along with routing an additional power cable. For comparison, my previous Quadro M2000 (75 W TDP) had its fan running almost constantly, and I regularly had to remove it to clean out dust just to keep noise levels under control. ... show more

USE PORT 1 for initial boot up to load drivers. This card will not work with HDMI until you load drivers and you have to have display port 1 used for functionality. I used a display port to HDMI adapter because my tv doesn't have display port and it worked great. If your monitor doesn't have display port make sure you get an adapter. Works very well for both of my flight simulator programs, MS and X-Plane. You will need at least a 550w power supply. I tried it my Dell G5 with a 450w and it would not work despite the advertising stating that the board would work without the additional power.
