  • Worked flawlessly out of the box. Bios update went smoothly.
Size: ROG X670E-F|DDR5|WIFI 6E Style: ROG X670E-F|DDR5|WIFI 6E
Fantastic motherboard. A little expensive, but aren't they all? Lol. But the price was semi-reasonable for this board in my opinion, and it being of the x670e chipset. However, I chose this board due to its future-proof feature set, but didn't need a super overpowered VRM as I don't overclock or anything crazy like that, not to mention other unnecessary features that I know I wouldn't utilize and to be frank, think are just downright gimmicky and not needed for the majority of people at all. This seemed to be a perfect fit for me out of all the other mobo's I was looking at. Build quality seems to be superb. If you want a decent value motherboard that will last for many years, this very well may be it. Fresh socket AM5, DDR5 (people complain about AM5 not supporting DDR4, but DDR4 has been out for ages now, and I'm ready to move onto the next platform and utilize it for years to come!). Also, PcI-E 5.0 x16 slot for future graphics cards that will utilize this bandwidth down the line, as well as the future SSD's if you choose. It worked out of the box without issue. installed Windows right out of the gate and went ahead and updated the bios. Bios looks great and seems easy enough to work with once you get used to it. Couldn't ask for anything more! ... show more

  • Over kill
Size: ROG X670E-F|DDR5|WIFI 6E Style: ROG X670E-F|DDR5|WIFI 6E
Great board tons of fan headers easy to install functions as it should with no issues has a ai over clock feature in bios for first time over clockers makes it a breeze while keeping cpu temps down and bios is easy to navigate only thing I wish it had at the price point is an actual debug read out and not the basic led read out if you do have the AI over clock feature enabled it will fail to boot some times and you have to go in to the bios and turn it off and back on then save settings and restart and it’s good if this happens don’t freak out just enter the bios and toggle it offf then back on and save and you should be good ... show more

  • Wrong region, broken motherboard
Size: ROG X570-F|DDR4|WiFi Style: ROG X570-F|DDR4|WiFi
Ordered the motherboard, after the maximum shipping period of about a week and a half passed I contacted Asus as my package had yet to move. 4 days later I was informed they just left the package in a warehouse and never shipped it, then gave me a new tracking number. When it finally arrived almost a month after the original purchase, I discovered the Japanese manual inside but whatever I can work past that. After spending some time trying to get it to work, I discovered I couldn't get it to boot with more than one stick of RAM. Working with Asus support I was told the DIMM slots were likely broken and I would need to have it repaired via warranty. However; since Asus sent me the Asia region board instead of a US one, I would have to ship it to Japan for repair instead of taking the 30 minute drive to the warranty repair center in my city. So probably a really nice board, if it works and you don't have to get it repaired and you have the one from the correct region because Asus decided to ship you the correct board in a timely manner. ... show more

  • Great motherboard, but be wary of the early adopter tax
Size: ROG X670E-F|DDR5|WIFI 6E Style: ROG X670E-F|DDR5|WIFI 6E
This is a great motherboard. Yes for the price, X670E motherboards overall are quite expensive than they need to be. I'd say this motherboard should not have been more than $330 but this is a fresh platform so whatever. Features wise, it is missing some features which "should" have been on the board like LED Codes, Power button etc, but I consider them additional rather than a necessity. It is an extremely overkill board for even a 7950X (The CPU I am using), so regarding overclocking you will not be having any issues. One note that I want people to realize is, that as of writing this review, the platform is still relatively new, which means growing pains exist and if you are planning on adopting the AM5 platform, you will have to deal with them. Long BOOT times, instability with RAM timings and frequency, random crashes etc are all part of the early adopter tax. Future BIOS updates should fix this, however. Overall this is a great board for its' price relatively. I wouldn't recommend going for the TUF variant as it has lot of issues. Spend a bit more and get a motherboard that should last you for years. ... show more

  • Works great but boy do you need to work in the BIOS to get it stable
Size: ROG X670E-F|DDR5|WIFI 6E Style: ROG X670E-F|DDR5|WIFI 6E
When I first received it (it came from Amazon Warehouse), I thought it was broken due to video issues. However, I learned that it was a combination of BIOS settings that needed adjustment. It took me nearly four days to find the right combination to make it stable and pass all tests. After rebooting the machine, all my monitors were functioning properly. I have two monitors: one using the onboard video card (Ryzen 7950x3d) and the other utilizing the NVIDIA 3080. The primary issue during boot was that the 3080 monitor wouldn’t come up consistently. I discovered that two settings needed modification. First, I ensured that the iGPU was always enabled in the BIOS. Second (and oddly), I had to set the BIOS to remember the DRAM settings and enable Power Down for DRAM instead of leaving it on auto (both settings are located next to each other). These two changes significantly improved system stability, allowing both monitors to work seamlessly. The only time both monitors failed to function was after adjusting the SOC voltage or DRAM voltage during the first boot. To resolve this, I simply turned the monitor off and on. I suspect this behavior is related to the motherboard adjusting critical settings during boot or other configuration changes. Despite some challenges, I managed to achieve perfect performance with the two monitors, even pushing my DRAM to an impressive 7800MHz (yes, that’s not a typo!). Although I can get it to work at 8000MHz, testing software consistently reports errors, and it remains unstable despite being on ASUS’s Qualified Vendor List (QVL). Overall, it’s a great board once properly configured. One of the main reasons I chose this board over others is that none of the lanes are shared with any devices, minimizing the chances of IRQ conflicts. Additionally, the main video slot always runs at x16, even when all M.2 slots and PCIe slots are filled, and none of them share bandwidth with each other. ... show more
