  • A versatile 4K powerhouse
Asus really did it this time with this brand new ASUS ZENBOOK 15 4K edition comes with dedicated graphics GTX 1650 Nvidia. 15.6 inch UHD + 178 WideView Nano edge display (4096X2160) So picture quality is really good and colors are vibrant. I believe screen NITS brightness is 330 to 350 but honestly description doesn't say and no reviews out yet for this high end model of the Zenbook 15. Performance is outstanding it's a multitasking power house honestly. The 10th gen I7-1051OU handles tasks like it's nothing. I could be watching youtube than at the same time pull up an excel spreadsheet file and power point all on one screen than jump into adobe pro and render a photo or video. It is literally night and day compared to my old Coffee lake MSI. These 10th gens run relatively cool so this laptop under heavy load can get hot like 92 degrees HOT ! However at 3.2 ghtz the CPU backs down on these Comet lakes to a cooler temp around 2.6 to 2.8 ghtz. It really is something you need to see for yourself. Hows gaming? actually very good utilizing the GTX 1650 Nvidia Graphics card for lighter titles you can edasily get away with 38 to 65 FPS on high settings FHD. In Children of Morta I was playing full 4K 60 FPS. Trials of Mana 4K was around 38 to 42 FPS FULL UHD of course you will need to be plugged into ASUS 120 watt power adapter don't expect to see these results on battery lol. Now lets discuss screen pad 2.0 ya know the mouse pad with 5.8 inch touch screen? Ok this is a hit or miss here you either really like it or you don't. For me personally I don't use it I believe after some software tweaks and updates from ASUS the pad may be more useable but as for now No I really dont see the need for it. I watched netflix on it the other day while working on my excel SS for work so that was kind of cool I guess. But besides the calculator I don't really see a definitive use for it. Its basically like a show your friends type technology. The top 5 best PARTS about this new 10th Gen ASUS ZENBOOK 4K edition has to be well #1 The 4K IPS screen. #2 The Comet lake 10th Gen I7-1051OU 4 core 8 thread processor #3 The Nvidia GTX 1650 discreet graphics card. #4 the keyboard very easy to type on I happen to like and use everyday the number pad I for one am glad it's there. The back lighting is just ok to me not very bright and some keys I notice do not light up at all. High brightness on the keyboard is just weird to me. I think ASUS should have taken a different approach to this keyboard lighting entirely but hey it gets the job done. #5 How thin and light the LAPTOP is to carry around really this thing is light like 4.2 pounds for a 15 inch laptop wow that is amazing. So in conclusion do I recommend this laptop? yes absolutely I do however I would save your money and if you want 4K it will cost you round $200 more for the blue and gold edition just get the silver icy lake like I did and instead of $1399 you pay $1199 ha ha your choice but I think the Icy lake silver IMO is the way to go and plus will save you some money. Bottom Line: If you want a fast performing multitasking laptop with some light to medium gaming on the side than this is the laptop for you. On a side note before making this purchase for the Zenbook 15 I did look and research the ASUS G14 laptop with the AMD 4900HS in it and the HEAT?? is what helped me make my decision to buy this one. The thermals were way to high for my comfort. Hope this review helps in your purchase decision for this Ultrabook high performance Laptop. ... show more

  • Solid Laptop!!!
I, like everyone else, did a ton of research before investing in a new laptop. I am not normally one to write reviews, but I thought this one deserved one. I am pretty blown away by the performance of this laptop. Honestly, it has exceeded my expectations. I bought this mainly for work but I wanted something that I could play a few games on as well. This goes without saying it has performed way better than I had anticipated. ScreenPad- The ScreenPad actually works perfect for online signatures, which is what I use it for. I have seen alot of reviews of people not impressed with it, but it is a nice feature for me. Display- The display is super clear and clean. My display resolution is 3840x2160, which is considered 4k. CPU- This cpu is insanely fast. The 10th generation intel blows me away. The cpu being paired with 16gb of RAM and the GTX Graphics all work very well together. Graphics for Gaming- I mostly play Rocket League and Fortnite when gaming, which both of these games are low requirements. I run right under max settings on Rocket League and it runs right around 160-170fps (I know right, insane). As far as fortnite being a little more graphic happy, it still runs a smooth 80-90fps consistently. So if you are debating whether or not this thing is a beast when it comes to gaming, you will not need to worry. Conclusion- If you are looking for a laptop that performs like a beast, but also has the components of a great work laptop, this one is my personal recommendation. I definitely do not regret my decision. Hope this helps ... show more

  • Great Laptop BUT...
The hardware that's included for this price from a brand like Asus is incredible. I have been a loyal Asus customer for 12 years. However, this is the first time I've been disappointed and I wonder if it's because it's the Amazon version. I would recommend buying a different Asus Zenbook. Pros: 1. The screen is gorgeous. I was torn on whether I cared about 4k on my laptop but it's nice. 2. I like the feel of the keyboard keys. I'm a software developer and I am very productive on this computer. 3. The number pad was awkward for me at first but I grew into it, and now I find it "missing" when I've briefly used other laptops. 3. The metal body is a HUGE plus. The form factor is incredible. This is such a great work-remote laptop. 4. Battery is great, especially considering how powerful the computer is. I generally get 8 hours. If you need better battery than that though don't get a glossy 4k screen with a powerful gfx card. 5. I haven't tried any intense games but it runs Minecraft and Rocket League just fine. 6. Some of the previous comments mention wifi issues, mine has had no such issues Cons: 1. I immediately disabled the screenpad and have yet to find a good reason to ever use it. 2. The backlighting on the keyboard was poorly designed. The keys are inconsistently lit (I actually returned my first laptop thinking it was defective because so many keys are dark) and it looks terrible in mid/low light because it's white-on-silver. Thus when the screen is bright, the keys are best viewed unlit, but for example when you're actually doing things and the screen goes from bright to not-so-bright, at least 1/2 of that time the keyboard lettering is hard to see. 3. My touchpad had MAJOR bugs for a few months after the July 2020 WIndows update... not something I expect from Asus. ... show more
