I'm a little biased here. Having built every one of my PC with Asus since early 2000's, I have simply loved the brand. My PC's have never died of old age, they were forcibly retired because I wanted to upgrade after 5+ years. Even then the components have all gone to building other computers that still go on for more than 10 years. That said, I had a laptop, well over 10 year old that stubbornly worked and was still very viable even today. But I absolutely needed to upgrade to something modern, more RAM, more graphics, less wind turbine sounding. This Laptop wins in all cases. Eventually I will upgrade to 64g ram once prices become reasonable, but for now it does what is needed. Battery life is generally 4-6 hours, perfect for sitting on the patio in the cool Spring days. The screen is plenty large enough and a decent resolution. If I plug in my XR glasses, the screen no longer matters. I'm hoping this lasts me for at least 10 years as my previous laptop did. ... show more

I've had a good experience with this laptop so far. It seems to perform well. I originally bought it to play a video game with mods, because my old laptop couldn't handle it. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful with this one as well. BUT, that's probably the mods. The PC seems fast. It has Windows 11, which works okay. I heard bad things about W11, but I've heard bad things about *every* Windows version since XP. The only downside is having to learn a new OS version again. The 2TB storage is the best. My old laptop was 500GB, so being able to fit more of my bigger games is nice. Still have 300-some GB open! The 32GB RAM seems to make a difference too. My games feel more responsive. The GPU is great, though, when I start some of the games, a message pops up from NVidia. It pops up again when I log out of the game. I'm not a computer expert (unfortunately), but my guess is that the GPU is programmed to switch modes when high-end games are activated, for better performance. Haven't really had any issues. The only thing I don't like about this laptop—and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5—is that the built-in webcam doesn't appear to have a shutter. My old laptop (Lenovo Legion) had a little slide shutter for privacy. ⭐️This is a security issue.⭐️ If your computer is ever hacked, it's entirely possible for you to be watched through your own webcam. So, right now, I have a Post-It note over it and it's ugly. I hate that I have to do that. ASUS would do well to change this, and make it standard on *every* laptop they make. this is my third Asus laptop. The first one is still running. The second one died after 2 years, and this one didn make it 4 months. No idea what Asus is doin, but this is not working.

Best investment in a long time. I absolutely love the screen size and clarity. The sound is amazing; I hear many animal noises in the game that I had missed previously. This machine has given me a much deeper appreciation of the games, as I learned how much I was missing with a smaller screen and lesser computer. Set-up was easy as is using it on a daily basis.
