I use this laptop exclusively for AI/ML work in a professional setting — no gaming. Performance is outstanding and a clear step up from my previous Dell XPS 16 (i7, 64GB RAM, Nvidia 4GB). Tasks that used to drag now run smoothly and quickly. The fan is louder than I’d like, but the productivity gains far outweigh this minor drawback. The camera is good, and the microphone with Nvidia Broadcast is excellent for calls and recordings. The screen quality is very good; coming from OLED, I was worried, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The keyboard feels great, and I really like the layout. This laptop comes with both the intel internal graphics plus the RTX 5080. You can change between the two if you desire. Intel for regular computing battery saving or RTX 5080 for gaming. The LAN is very fast 2.5G and the Wi-Fi 7 works great too. I have had no issues only great performance so far. I highly recommend but this is not a cheap laptop, and you get what you pay for!     • Powerful little gamer
I bought this as an alternative to my last working Msi gaming laptop. The last 3 Msi laptops were disappointing to say the least, defective when received and never repaired properly or were too fragile transporting to work and back, requiring constant maintenance and lasting 1 to 2 years before going out on me. So I was hoping ASUS could do better and wanted a 15.6 for my regular backpack. I was surprised that once I got the Win 11 OS configured right this little rig proved to be one of the best gaming laptops I ever bought. I have owned 6 or 7 over the years and this one impressed me with it's reliability and although it looks kind of frail, proved to be pretty rugged so far. The Fed ex box it came in was banged up and there was virtually no foam, or padding of any kind around the inner box with the laptop - I was really surprised the laptop was not damaged. It is very light as well, so it is easy on an old back, but it will run almost any of my games maxed out and I can game with it in my lap without the fans burning me. No camera which is a bummer and the battery life unplugged is short as you would expect with such a powerful laptop, but I think it is an excellent gaming laptop for the casual or serious gamer hands down. ... show more

Even though she is loud, I love this laptop. I’ve been gaming on her for three years and she’s still running strong with my graphic settings maxed. Planning on getting my husband this one as well.

    • Good with some cons...
Good laptop - powerful (i9 /3070 ti), - good quality, - good sound, - good screen, - nice keyboard except for PrintScreen key which is very misplace - too close from right arrow. but: - massive and heavy 180W external charger - even for a such powerful laptop... - lot of issues with a fresh reinstall even with all Asus drivers installed. => 23 drivers to install, => powercfg /energy issues, => online support almost useless, got only one reply... "Reinstall", - sleeping mode is difficult and still always draining ~ 10 - 15 Watts, - useless Keystone - A security key would have been more appropriate, - and always warm on the legs... I'm coming from Gigabyte Aorus 15XD (3070) that I returned it because shift keys were not backlit and the Aorus had better performance on CyberPunk 2077 benchmark with "only" an 3070, heated less and had no drivers issues with a fresh reinstall... So my opinion is therefore mixed... --- Update: Move my review from 3 to 4 stars. => powercfg /energy issues are not coming from ASUS but from Microsoft (Windows 11) => online support is difficult but if you insist you will have a better reply ... show more

    • Excellent laptop
This is a big step up especially coming from a desktop that had a 1050 ti graphics card. Pros: Runs everything I need on it especially games like Modern Warfare and Cyberpunk. Internet speeds are by far the best I've seen, the display is amazing really crisp and beautiful. It acts as a desktop especially with an external mouse and keyboard it's great for gaming and school. Cons: Battery on gaming is maybe an hour and a half to two hours max, with regular use holds at about 2 to 3 hours without the charger. Fans get really intense when plugged in or when you are playing a game even something not insanely big like Fortnite. It definitely gets hot on the keyboard unfortunately, even with something as working or doing school work. Overall, the price is still a bit hefty but honestly best 2 grand I've spent on a computer in years. If it's something that interests you I recommend it still even with the cons, especially if you're coming from an older system. ... show more
