This laptop is better than my desktop pc. I got the Intel 9 Ultra 5080 2TB version. I play a lot of War Thunder, I cranked up the settings to test it with DLSS Native turned on and I got a whopping 440+ fps. No lag, no screen tearing, no jitter. And this was in performance mode mind you, not even turbo mode. Speaking of turbo mode, thanks to the rear facing exhaust ports, heat and noise are minimal. Even while in turbo mode. You can still hear the fans but it’s surprisingly muted despite it having 3 fans. You can also take the bottom plate off with no effort and no tools to clean the fans and install upgrades. The RGB and animated display on the back of the lid are genuinely unlike anything else I've seen in a laptop. The level in which you can customize the colors, patterns, brightness, and anything else you can imagine is astounding. You can make the animated lid say/do anything you can think of. Whether it’s a sentence or a gif you can put whatever you want. If you have the money, I’d recommend this laptop and would consider ROG again. ... show more

I’ve owned 4 or 5 gaming laptops and this is a complete disappointment. I have another Asus gaming laptop that is 8 years old and it can run circles around this one. Everything about this machine is terrible. The trackpad barely functions and is very finicky. It takes forever to boot up, and everything that I do takes a few seconds longer than it should. Just opening a browser window takes 3 to 5 seconds. When I connect it to power, the screen goes completely black for a couple of seconds. When disconnected from power, the same thing happens…it goes completely black for 2-3 seconds. It came with software called Armoury Crate. This program is extremely confusing and buggy. Some of the options for color schemes vanished within the first hour it was turned on, and have never been seen again. Working with Armoury Crate is frustrating at best. With a Intel Ultra 9 processor, and powerful Nvidia graphics, this laptop should be a beast, yet it’s difficult to play any kind of game die to it’s insane sluggishness. Something is very wrong with this machine and it is supremely irritating that a computer with this price tag could be so awful. ... show more

Upgraded from 6800H/3070Ti and it’s been great, even for unoptimized games like Tarkov and PUBG. Great performance and no heat problems whatsoever. As a desktop replacement it works extremely well, but weight might be a problem if you actually trying to carry this thing around with you. Appearance: solid black plastic, looks good, it had RGB lights all around is good if you’re into that. Personally I just put it on solid red. Which creates some ambient light but isn’t enough to illuminate the desk or annoy you at night. Right now it’s definitely a better value for money than 4090 model. Really surprised how cold the CPU runs. I think I never got it higher than 85C. Fans aren’t very loud either. ... show more

Una buena laptop gamer y para el trabajo pesado la llevo usando un por de semanas y sin ningún problema es súper eficiente en cualquier tipo de tareas gracias a su rendimiento en su tarjeta gráfica, en comparación a mi antigua laptop Asus Tuf F17 gaming la diferencia es increíble. Hasta el momento no me ha dado cuellos de botella en ningún aspecto (ya sea gráfico, ventilación o almacenamiento), sin duda disfruto mucho más de los videojuegos y las películas con su gran pantalla y la frecuencia de actualización ultra con esos 240Hz. poor quality for this amount of money. started overheating after 3 weeks because of poor liquid metal installation on the CPU and now its almost unusable. The cpu is constantly at 98 degrees even when idle, and sometimes shuts off from overheating. also, its not touch screen, as many reviews say. the screen looks good but it is flimsy. The lighting effects on the back panel and keyboard are really cool though. UPDATE: After manually changing the liquid metal and adding some to the gpu (The gpu had regular thermal paste before), the overheating shutdowns have stopped. after testing different armory crate settings, reducing the p-core to 4 and the e-core to 12 removed all of the system wide lag problems. I also set dedicated graphics memory to 8 and the laptop is running smoothly at max fps for most games. cpu temps are still regularly at 98, but it doesn't seem to have a negative impact on performance. UPDATE: so far it is still running great with p core set to 4 and e core set to 12. its still running very hot at 95 degrees regularly, but it does not seem to affect performance. I have had to clean the fans 2 or 3 times since purchase to prevent overheating. ... show more

So far, so good after three weeks. A strong plus is that I can use this on my thighs and it not burn my thighs like the Alienware does. I also find that I like the 18 inch screen more than I thought I would. One small negative is that my power cord loosely pops out of the adapter. I requested a replacement and they are willing and eager to do that. It is heavy(er) but I expect that for everything it has in it. It would also be nice if they had a keyboard that did not have the number pad because that’s just taking up real estate. Doing that would make more space for having separate delete/insert keys instead of combining them as they do now. ... show more
