  • Works great and and has 4.2 GHz i7 processor.
Size: ATX Style: PRIME Z270-A
Works great and and has 4.2 GHz i7 processor. I work from home and use one it's multiple hard drives only for work with a remote desktop. This setup is perfect and out performs every else's home computer. Some were supplied by the company and some are supplied by the coworkers themselves. I have never had problems with this setup. I put 4 hard drives on it and have not stopped adding more and faster memory and will add a better video card next I hooked up my home audio with a digital optical cable and I can get superb sound streaming to my home audio system. I'm happy and have been completely satisfied with this setup for many years. ... show more

  • Capable mobo. Would buy again. Hopefully don’t need to.
Size: ATX Style: PRIME Z270-A
Great mobo. Tons of features. Easy overclocking and a lot of advanced options if you really want to mess your rig up, you can. The little RGB glow from the board was unexpected, but a nice touch. Really does everything you’d want it to do, and looks good doing it. I have 2 minor complaints though. But not enough to remove a star. The metal shield that goes in back buy the ports is a bit of a pain to get lined up and plug your stuff in. And when I plugged in the connection for the front USB ports, I had to remove it, and the female plug on the mobo ripped off. Luckily, the pins were straight and in tact so I was able to plug it back in. But it was almost a bad scene. ... show more

  • First Mobo would recommend//Updated: Not for VR use
Size: ATX Style: PRIME Z270-A
First MOBO is self built, i think im like 3 months into using it. Works great, love the special GPU reinforcement, 2 m.2 slots for future upgrades, and SLI compatible for when cypto mining dies and i can get another 1080Ti for cheap UPDATE 5/12/18 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR VR The one issue i have had with this MOBO is the USB connectivity. For $140 i thought i was getting a MOBO that could handle the stress of VR gaming. I should have bought a more expensive one i guess. This MOBO loses connection to USB devices. I have since added a new PCI USB 3.0 controller hub with it's own data transfer rate and it works but its not meant to handle all 3 oculus sensors and the headset itself. The darn USB controller on this mobo is trash. OTHERWISE IT'S BEEN A GREAT FIRST MOBO ... show more

  • ASUS Z270-A: Overclocking with an Aesthetical Appeal ASUS Z270-A: Overclocking with an Aesthetical Appeal
Size: ATX Style: PRIME Z270-A
This ASUS Z270-A motherboard is built for users seeking an aesthetically pleasing motherboard that is capable of overclocking and fits your budget of $150. This ASUS product merits a 4/5 due to its durability in the installation process, overclocking capabilities, and its appeal to the human eye. When it comes to overclocking, this motherboard is a breeze. You have three options to choose from; your base clock, automatic, and manual. I am currently running the i5-7600k and the automatic took it from a base rate of 3.8ghz to 4.5ghz. However, due to the fact that I have a Thermaltake RGB 360mm radiator, I was able to push it to a stable 5.0ghz with this motherboard. I would recommend doing some research online about your CPU first because I would have never attempted a 5.0ghz overclock if I hadn’t found others doing the same thing. Another great thing about this motherboard is its aesthetic appeal. Since my case has a full tempered glass window, I wanted something that I would enjoy looking at from time to time. The white accents are extremely nice with or without added RGB lighting. The RGB lighting reflects very nicely off the white accents and does so with every color option. The motherboard also comes with the AURA light feature, allowing the user to customize the built in RGB lighting. With this software you are able to pick from any of the 16.9 million color options and choose its display effect. Some effects, for example, are static, breathing, wave, strobing, and etc. Lastly, as most PC builders/enthusiasts know, the motherboard is one of the trickiest parts of the entire installation process. My reasoning behind a rating of 4/5 stars is that the user may find some difficulty in installing this board on their own. The rear I/O panel comes with tabs built in and you will need to bend these tabs at least 90 degrees for the motherboard to slide into place. The difficulty comes when you try to install the motherboard with these indented tabs as the large white shield covering the ports obstructs your view. However, ASUS makes up for this through its extremely durable design. The board is designed with some give so even though you may feel like it is going to snap when installing the power adapter, it won’t. I found myself pushing rather hard and never felt I was going to break it. Overall, if you want to overclock and enjoy looking at your computer, this is the motherboard for you. For reference: My custom build is comprised of this ASUS Z270-A motherboard, the i5-7600k CPU, thermaltake RGB 360 radiator, 16gb Ballistix RAM, EVGA 1050ti 4gb GPU, a Cooler Master 650M PSU, inside the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Series. ... show more

  • Worked for 3 months, now get a screen: American Megatrends, No keyboard detected.
Size: ATX Style: PRIME Z270-A
Worked flawlessly for 3 months, then 1 day I clicked restart in windows and now I get a screen: American megatrends No keyboard detected. I have rewired the whole system again, reseated ram, cleared cmos using jumper and then removing battery, but all usb ports are dead and have no power. Not a single usb device receives any power from this system now and it is very frustrating and disappointing. I have checked to ensure the Psu is working fine and it seems like it is as all other components such as graphic card, display monitor, rgb lights, mobo leds, cpu fan, chasis fan,all working fine. No usb 3.0 or 2.0 ports are working at all. Due to this, the system cannot even complete POST. As a last resort I will try to use a legacy ps/2 keyboard to see if I can even get to the BIOS. As of now I do not recommend this board, my ps/2 keyboard did work in BIOS but mouse did not. But still no power to usb ports in BIOS and OS. Installed latest BIOS to see if that changes anything and unfortunately it does not, installed latest OS updates to see if that fixes driver issues, and even that did not. I even reset the PC and reinstalled Windows. A real shame because this board did work great for a short time and now the pc does not even shutdown normally. ... show more

Size: ATX Style: PRIME Z270-A
Very easy to use bios for those who aren't familiar with bios changes. Most options give a short description of what it does, however, a lot of them are not helpful. If you aren't familiar with any of the options, then I would suggest reading up on the option before enabling or disabling anything. As far as the OC options for those who have never OC'd manually, ASUS offers a variety of ways and settings via on board, bios and windows based software to OC. I would suggest that if you aren't familiar in overclocking, either do the research or get knowledgeable on bios overclocking. The Aurora software that is included on the mobo driver cd to control LED options is easy enough to use, however the mobo itself is slim with the onboard LED it comes with. Still a nice addition if LED RGB is something you are into. You can also choose to turn LEDs off. I would install the ethernet driver fron the disc if your OS doesn't already and head to the ASUS website and download the most up to date drivers and utilities. Aesthetically the board is nice to look at. I paired this board with an I7 7700 bundled with a thermaltake water 3.0 cpu cooler, toshiba rd400 512 gb m.2 and corsair carbide series air 540 atx case and it looks awesome. Everything runs smooth, cold, and quiet. In all a great modo and lives up to the ASUS standard of being one of if not the best in computer hardware. ... show more

Size: ATX Style: PRIME Z270-A
Before I even received the product as soon as I placed an order, the seller reached out to me to give me their contact information. I received the product earlier than was expected, it was packed to protect. Considering that it's a motherboard that's a large bill to fill ,not only was it pack to protect but it was in an electrostatic bag. Board looked brand new. All the connectors work. So far it has performed flawlessly. I've had it running for about 2 weeks now. ... show more
