Description

ASUS and Noctua engineers teamed up to pair two iconic NF-A12x25 PWM fans with a custom thermal solution and custom PCB. This potent pairing allows the ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition to operate at lower GPU temperatures and produce less noise than any graphics card in its class.

  • Incredibly Silent

Barely ever notice that my pc is on with this card.

  • The Quietest, The Best (But it is big!!!)
Style: Graphic Card
Five stars all the way, but let me preface with this warning: this card is HUUUUUGE It takes up FIVE SLOTS. Watch the LTT review of the card, it is literally 4 slots thick, with the protruding logo obstructing the 5th slot. Not a problem for me since I did my research, in fact I like the huge look since it fills up my PC case. Anyways, onto the review. I'm a musician, so I prefer my PC to be as quiet as possible. I have an audio/video editing/gaming PC in a Fractal Design Define 7, with all noctua case fans & CPU cooler. I also have low noise adapters on every fan, and both the GPU and PSU were/are semi-passive. At idle the thing is genuinely imperceptible unless you put your ear inches from the exhaust fan. I had a gigabyte 2060 super (the quietest GPU of it's era/model), which was fantastic while I had it, but I decided to upgrade to this for obvious reasons!!! Now my PC is even quieter under load (idle is still the same since both cards were semi passive) and the only non-Noctua fan left in my PC is the PSU fan. I now don't even notice that my PC is right next to me while gaming/editing, and I can listen to my flawless uninterrupted audio swtup without annoying fan whine. I love the card, and I hope noctua continues to do collaborations in the future (my fingers are crossed for a noctua PSU). If you don't know why Noctua is the best, not only do they have the lowest db rating (from what I know), they also have an even timbre with no resonance. This is very good, since it means the fan is producing a wide band of frequencies, instead of a narrow few frequencies which would be more noticeable/annoying at the same db level. Noctua all they way!!! I can't explain my hype enough!!! ... show more

  • The quietest GPU, ever.
Style: Graphic Card
I've owned a few graphics cards in my time but this one BY FAR is the quietest one I've ever had. It performs really well being able to crank out games at 1440p at Ultra settings or 4k in low/mid settings. Pros: - It's quiet. - Performs well / Good bang for the buck. Cons: - It's thick. Thiccc with 3 c's. Easily the thickest 3070 in the market. - Only 8GB of memory might not be enough for some games that demand 12GB. ... show more

  • Truly silent - but like all cards in 2022, you'll pay for it
Style: Graphic Card
Price gouging aside, this is the best card I've ever purchased. I was always a big fan of the MSI SeaHawk series because they were so much quieter than the standard cards. However, they have a water pump that constantly runs. So during load, the SeaHawk would be very quiet, but at idle, you still have a very faint purr of the water pump. Not with this card. S I L E N T!!! Totally quiet at idle. And Noctua's fans are amazing. I really value the quiet and have no appliances that make noise in my computer room. These fans are inaudible from 3ft away when they are at 100%. I ended up getting the Noctua NH-P1 passive cooler for my AMD 5950x to keep the noise down. Also used one of their NF-A12x25 LS-PWM fans with great success. I can get about 90% of the stock performance out of the 5950x in a warm room without the fan coming on. Back to this card, if you are building a fanless computer or one where low noise at idle is important, this is by far one of the best cards out there. Coil whine seems reasonable too. Could be lower, but it's not bothersome and I can't hear it 99% of the time in my silent workspace. Noctua and Asus made a home run here. ... show more
