  • Cheap and effecient!
CPU: Celeron N3350 RAM Size: 4 GB Hard Disk Size: 32 GB Graphics Description: Integrated Style: Grey
The sound is pretty decent, I think it was better than my bigger laptop I had previously. Very easy to use, AppStore is a bit slow but no problems. Battery life is good! I bought this laptop for college, so far I was able to download Word and docs is available on the apps. Convenient light weight and very cute. I recommend it if you want something easy and cheap! Of course you won’t get Great quality for gaming or anything beyond. It’s definitely meant to type, so this is perfect for a college-high school student. If I could add one feature, it would be keyboard light up!!! Recommend it so far!!:) ... show more

  • Very practical, nothing fancy
CPU: Celeron N3350 RAM Size: 4 GB Hard Disk Size: 32 GB Graphics Description: Integrated Style: Grey
I got this as a tablet replacement. I like having one hinged device with a keyboard, rather than a tablet plus keyboard packaged into a cover. And I didn't want to pay for a Microsoft Surface. I purchased a renewed unit so it was very cheap. It does everything I need it to do. I can install apps on it like on an Android tablet, and I run everything off of Google Drive and Google Docs. I switch to my Windows laptop if I need to do any intense editing of documents, then I put them on Drive, and I can view the docs on this device. ... show more

  • An average median Chromebook for average use
CPU: Celeron N3350 RAM Size: 4 GB Hard Disk Size: 32 GB Graphics Description: Integrated Style: Red
I wish I could give this Chromebook a score of 3.5. It's not as bad as a 3, but certainly not good enough to rate a 4. Believe it or not, this Chromebook got an Octane 2.0 score (https://chromium.github.io/octane/) of 10,798, which is really not that bad. Bear in mind that any Chromebook will definitely need a reliable and consistently strong Wifi connection. Since this Chromebook doesn't have an ethernet port, I would imagine that you could procure an adapter to see how fast a dedicated ethernet connection would get you (available here: https://www.amazon.com/Ethernet-Adapter-uni-Thunderbolt-Compatible/dp/B077KXY71Q/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=ethernet+to+usb+c+adapter&qid=1553194437&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1), but realistically, you really need to have a reliable Wifi connection to the internet. This Chromebook does the email (Gmail comes to mind) and general web surfing well. It also can access your Google docs, spreadsheets, and such like on Google Drive. If you have your heart set on using a Chromebook to watch video content, such as Amazon TV, or something like Hulu, it would be better if you got a Chromebook that has a better monitor and higher performance specs. Some Chromebooks after you log into them after pressing the power button for the first time during the day, and then after when you simply open them, they will turn on. In the case of this particular Chromebook, you have to press on the power button every time to turn it on. This is not a terrible Chromebook, but it is not a spectacular one, either. It simply meets the basic need to get on the internet to surf, do web shopping and looking at your email. ... show more

  • Great thus far. Display is weakest link but it's good enough.
CPU: Celeron N3350 RAM Size: 4 GB Hard Disk Size: 32 GB Graphics Description: Integrated Style: Red
I had the unit for 24 hrs now. I was previously using a same size Acer chromebook I bought used 2 years ago so it was 5 or so years old. I wanted more memory (2 vs 4G) , storage (16 vs 32G) and the ability to run Android apps. ***** I qualified reviewer made the point that the display was based on TN technology (vs IPS) and off angle viewing was poor. I found this to be the case but for my usage pattern its fine. Color quality is noticeably worse than my new TV but it good enough. I didn't want to pay $100 more for a better display. ***** Androids apps work very well (e.g. Skype) others Just ok. ***** I'm waiting on a usb c to HTML cable to confirm HTML support. ***** I'm happy this far. I have an ASUS tablet that has been great. I expect this ASUS chromebook will also prove to be great. Update 1/18/19 Received usb c to 6 format cable The following all worked well at the same time: !!! HDMI (w/ sound) over 25ft cable. usb3 flash drive playing music Ethernet LAN ... show more

  • Best purchase of 2021
CPU: Celeron N3350 RAM Size: 4 GB Hard Disk Size: 32 GB Graphics Description: Integrated Style: Grey
I purchased two of these for my children for school and they absolutely love them! They are super easy to use, small enough to easily transport but not so small that you struggle to view anything. Google play makes it super easy to download apps, link your phone, manage parental controls, and so much more. I would have paid double the price for one of these, it's well worth the money without cutting into the overall quality. I am very pleased with this product and am looking to purchase an additional one for myself now. ... show more

  • Third Asus laptop, this one is a "dog".
CPU: Celeron N3350 RAM Size: 4 GB Hard Disk Size: 32 GB Graphics Description: Integrated Style: Red
I had really liked the two Asus laptops that I used before, so ordered this one to upgrade my Chrome system, which I was pretty much forced to do so that the security updates would continue in Chrome. This laptop is terrible! It is heavy, the edge around it is sharp and feels unfinished, the battery life isn't nearly what it should be for the heavy battery, and for the length of time that it is supposed to last. Then the item which I received, and which was supposed to be "new", was defective. The touch pad had a rattle to it so didn't have immediate contact when pressed or tapped. When I did tap on an icon at the bottom of the screen, the whole image on the screen fluttered wildly. This product seems to be built just for the poor suckers like me, who can only afford the lower price range for a laptop and who were unknowingly suckered into buying a laptop whose upgrades for Chrome only lasted a few years beyond the purchase date, with no advertising or information whatsoever on the box which would indicate that the main operating system, "Chrome", or that he new laptop a "Chromebook"would expire so soon. A con job if I ever saw one. Then I bought this "Chromebook", which would give me three more years of Chrome updates, but which is packaged in this cheap, defective laptop. I have returned the item and am still waiting for a refund. I considered keeping it until I could buy a better one, but the rattling touch pad, heaviness and problems with response were too much. I was not happy to have paid near $300.00 for this terrible useless product. Now I try to be patient waiting for a refund so that I can shop for another laptop, since all of my private information on my old laptop could be compromised because the security upgrades on it have expired. NOT HAPPY! ... show more
