This is a nice computer for normal duty. I will not buy another computer on-line again as it is hard to distinguish between all the features. Need to read very carefully what features you want or don't want as you will likely not be able to return it.

    • Rubbish Asus laptop
Bought mistakenly via Amazon Sept 23 2023 been a nightmare ever since until now 14 Feb 2024....Problems .1. Not Windows 11 compatible[when stated in spec!] Not ER compatible so so slow I had to buy a Thunderbolt USB to reach acceptable download/upload speeds. Has constantly crashed with Windows 11 problems...cost me a small fortune in computer techie having to try & fix .. Finally given up after he told me it was 2nd hand from China re-packaged as new ! Am now buying a proper quality laptop from Dell asap. A total rip off ! ... show more

    • Extremely middle of the road
I bought this laptop 7 months ago when my previous ASUS (a beloved workhorse which I’d had for 8 years and was finally starting to slow down) took a nasty fall. I read the other reviews that said this model is not a particularly impressive machine and I thought, “That can’t be true, my old ASUS was so great!” Reader, it was true. There is simply nothing to write home about with this laptop. The pros: it has a lot of disk storage and runs fast enough for regular tasks. It’s okay for light gaming if you drop your graphics quality a bit. The cons: I have spent more time in the command prompt than I care to admit, trying to recreate settings my old laptop had out of the box. The charger gets wildly hot, the fans run hot and always seem to be on, and the battery also gets warmer than I’d prefer if you’re using it while plugged in. After an hour or so of use the touchpad gets wonky and has to be cleaned, which is confusing as I can’t say I have particularly greasy fingers or anything (or at least this has never been a problem on any other laptop in my entire life). All in all, my takeaway is I’m going to keep it because it’s “good enough”, but there’s no compelling reason to buy this particular laptop, and for the money I probably could have gotten a similar, less temperamental machine if I hadn’t been set on an ASUS. :/ ... show more
