If any good can come our of having to keep our kids home from school and have them be taught virtually, it is having to purchase a Chromebook sooner than I had planned. I wanted to get one for when I work from home, and finding out my daughter didn't qualify for a school book because she's in 1st grade prompted me to purchase this. Set up: Super easy to set up each account. I have my work account, and she has her school account. It runs almost similarly to a PC, the only thing I didn't know was how to right click (two finger tap on touchpad) Speed: It loads super quick, each app launches really fast as well. I remote into my work computer and do all my work from the Chromebook, and it works quicker than my desktop PC, and power wise, my desktop has higher-end components than the Chromebook, so you can tell it's designed to be quick, even with lesser components. Gaming: I've played some of my apps on the Chromebook, about half work, and run well. Not having a touchscreen makes some difficult to play. The other half isn't supported. So it's not ideal for gaming but will run some, and when it does run a game, they run pretty well. Storage: With most of the storage happening on Google drive, it hasn't been much an issue yet. Streaming: I have been stream Netflix and it runs well. The LAN card doesn't seem to cause any slowdowns, and it's just as fast as other wireless devices in my home. Casting: I cast Zoom workouts to my TV in the workout area we have in the basement. It is fast and almost no issue. The larger issue I have is the TV is older and not good quality. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase, it surprised me with how well it runs. I've had people tell me to avoid buying a Chromebook, and I can't tell you how wrong they were. ... show more
