  • Excellent inflator/deflator/gauge.
Excellent inflator/deflator/gauge. Accuracy comparable to my digital Accutire gauge; always the same reading. I was not familiar with that NPT male connector at the bottom of the grip, and did not initially realize that it is compatible with my decades-old compressor that has a clamp-on connector that ordinarily clamps onto the Schrader valve on a tire or other inflatable with Schrader valve. It turns out that the NPT male connector is fully compatible with the type of clamp-on doohicky at the end of the hose on my older compressor. So I didn't need an adapter, which is not what I first assumed. Anyway, this is clearly a well-made inflator/gauge. ... show more

  • Easy and quick
Works great. I think I checked and added air to everything in the garage and driveway the day it came in. Just attach to valve stem and pull the trigger. Let off trigger to check air pressure. Love it.

  • Inflator is good, connectors are not.
Update: Bumping review up to 4 stars due to customer service going above and beyond. They actually did end up sending me the nicer air chuck they sell separately for free. Unfortunately that ended up having some issues as well and ultimately made the air leak worse. I honestly think this was just a case of extremely bad luck and ended up getting a faulty air chuck as a free upgrade. I do not hold this against AstroAI at all. They worked very hard to try and improve the situation ever to the point of offering a full refund which I said I didn't want. This is because they have a great pistol grip and gauge on this inflator. I'll simply get a better air chuck elsewhere and NPT fittings are a dime a dozen. Great customer service. 5/5 there. Picked this up since it had a sale going on ($18) and I always wanted a lock on air chuck inflator. Of course the price also suggests you're likely not getting a super tight tolerance device either. Below is what I ended up finding, and overall I think I would still say this is worth picking up for some of the parts of the kit, replace the bad pieces with some other items and you'll have yourself a rock solid inflator. The good: The actual gauge is pretty accurate. I'd say it's within their claimed +/-1 PSI error. It actually helped me realize one of my other gauges on hand was off by about 4PSI so I could toss that to avoid bad readings in the future. This gauge, a standalone gauge that pushes out a stick to read PSI, and the vehicles TPMS were all within 1PSI of each other, so I took that as a win for their margin of error. The Pistol grip is very comfortable in the hand and it's not hard to read the gauge at all. Someone has complained in a review stating that it reads the compressor PSI as you're inflating it.....Yeah that's what you should expect while you're inflating the tire (You're pushing air into the tire, why wouldn't in be reading the PSI of the compressor at that point????). Simply let off of the trigger to check where the PSI is, and use the release button to let air out as needed if you overshoot your target PSI. Some people shouldn't be posting reviews on here... The Bad: The connectors are useless. The Male NPT Quick Connect is larger than the standard 1/4" NPT Male end that goes into your hose. It would not seat into my quick connect hose regardless or force I applied. I took it off and trashed it right away and replaced with a cheap Harbor Freight NPT Fitting. This completely fixed that issue and there was no air leaks on that end of the inflator. The Lock on Air Chuck (the whole reason I bought this) is trash. It's a 1 tooth design which means it will never hold equal pressure on the valve steam of your vehicle and thus it will constantly leak air out. I do not know why they even include this on this inflator. It's completely useless. They need to include their two tooth air chuck they sell separately with this. 100% plan to replace the air chuck on these if you decide to get one. It's not a one-off lemon, it's fully in the design of the air chuck that it simply will not work (at least with my tires that go up to 40PSI). I plan to reach out to AstoAI and try to get them to send me a 2 tooth air chuck to replace the garbage one that comes with this. If they do that I'll return and update this to at least 4 stars. I cannot justify giving it 5 stars though due to that NPT fitting being too large. Conclusion: But this inflator if you want a good gauge and pistol grip, but throw away the air chuck and the NPT fitting that come with this because they're no good. Unless AstoAI updates this to come with the 2 tooth air chuck, I'm not sure I would recommend this at all (because that's going to be the main reason people likely want to buy this). By the time you buy a new NPT fitting and an actual good Lock On Air Chuck, you're going to be spending around double the price of this Inflator. Still with all of that above, the gauge is fairly accurate, and the pistol grip is nice. Those alone are probably worth the sale price of $18. Just disappointing that the connectors aren't up to the same quality as everything else seems to be. ... show more

  • Original Lock-on Air Chuck didn't work. The furnished replacement does.
The Lock on Air Chuck (the whole reason I bought this) is trash. It doesn't truly lock-on and consistently leaks. Hence, it makes getting an accurate read of psi (by intermittently releasing the handle) while filling is impossible. 24 June I've received a replacement air chuck from the seller. I've tried it on 4 tire valve stems to check its sealing characteristics. It has sealed well upon each application with some minor attachment adjustments. I am quite satisfied with this unit and the result. I've upgraded my evaluation to accurately reflect this change. ... show more

  • Great tool for my shop
Love this air chuck! Gauge is accurate, connects and disconnects to/from valve stem easily. Definitely recommend.

  • Properly inflates a tire, but the gauge isn't accurate
This works fine for filling tires from an air compressor, but unfortunately my gauge reads 5-10psi higher than the actual pressure when checked against the car's TPMS and a secondary pencil air gauge. There doesn't seem to be any way to calibrate this either. It just makes it a little frustrating when you're trying to reach a certain pressure and you have to keep switching back and forth between this one and a tire pressure checker. ... show more
