Bought renewed (2nd renewed pair I've bought in 6 years) ***buyers should be mindful of potential refurbishing inconsistencies - know that you might be taking a chance and prepare yourself for that*** I love my astro a50s. I had an earlier generation/iteration of this product. I tried many other options but ended up going back to the a50s. I tried a major gaming brand and while they were great audio quality (audiophile here), the software and ease of use was MUCH better with these astro a50s. The software offers the ability to tweak your setup; but this software does not try to take over your PC so that making system changes require you to edit settings in your gaming headset?!...sorry, I digress Setup - easy, plug and play Mic quality - better than many dedicated mics and "gaming mics" I have tried recently. super clear and never have issues. I love to mute yourself you just flip up the mic Audio Quality - top tier. it isn't the absolute best (it is wireless so you're already not getting best audio quality), but it is very good all things considered. Especially for competitive gaming. I'm able to pick up footsteps better than my audiophile headset and DAC. So it is great where you want it to be great. Battery Life - pretty good. obviously better than the prior generation. I use these for gaming and PC audio, I can use them all day and never run into any charge issues. Pros/Features I had no idea existed: 1) My headphones turn off if they are placed down/laid horizontally. (I found this out because I fell asleep one night at my pc working and when I put my head down I heard them turn off...lol, "one night", it happens often, because I'm a degenerate I found out about this feature). They don't advertise this feature? but it exists! Cons: 1) sometimes setting the headset into the charging cradle doesn't always work. I think they have to be carefully placed in the cradle 2) I'm nitpicking, but the foam can get a little warm. (I'm trying to find cons) Final verdict: if you're buying a gaming headset for ease of use and gaming audio quality (not music/audiophile reasons, sound is excellent but not premium) - this is the best headset for your money. you can easily google sound profiles for a specific game and set it up quickly ... show more

    • this is my 2nd pair of of A50's and I won't ever buy another.
I hardly use these. I leave them at home while I drive a semi truck. I've had these for almost 6 months and maybe have 4 hours on them. I use astro a20 in my truck. there is absolutely no sound from the A50's anymore. I've tried resetting the base and headset. there is no sound even through the mic or by pushing buttons on the headset. it turns on but has so power on sound. ... show more

This technically was the 2nd set we have gotten. My original pair was over 7 years old and was still holding strong other than the battery not lasting as long as it used to. Super comfortable. My new set i have worn for over 12+ hours before and still was comfortable. Sound quality is so good and the different options are worth the money. My base is in our stream room on the lower floor of the house. I have walked all the way upstairs to the other end of the house before the headphones start to cut out. I am very glad I found this renewed deal for the A50's. I was hesitate to spend full MSRP on a gaming headset. Maybe I have never really had a great headset before, but the sound from these blew me away with the Dolby Atmos activated. It was like I was playing a whole new game (I play Destiny 2 mostly) and it sounded phenomenal. In PVP mode I could easily discern if the footsteps coming my way were to my left, right, or behind me. I actually get significantly higher scores that I usually do in the last few days. Music is immersive with these on. I'm hearing details and nuance I never heard in my favorite songs. Cons: they are a bit heavy and the padding on the top headband pops off randomly if I pull it too snug on my head. The noise cancelling is terrible compared to my Sony's that I use for airplane travel...I am not sure I even notice the noise cancelling, maybe my settings are off. Overall, these are a great buy if you play games or listen to music on your PC in a somewhat quiet environment. ... show more

    • Disappointing Product and Customer Service – Do Not Buy!
I was excited to purchase the Astro A50 Wireless gaming headphones, but the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. The first pair arrived dirty and had to be replaced immediately. The second pair worked well for only 6 months before they stopped holding a charge and would only function wirelessly for a minute before dying. When I contacted customer service, I was shocked by how rude and unhelpful they were. They flat-out refused to assist, claiming that because I bought the headphones on Amazon, I had to deal with Amazon for any issues. Their unwillingness to back their own product and poor attitude is inexcusable. I will never buy from this company again, and I urge others to think twice before wasting money on these overpriced, unreliable headphones. I got them from my dad. He complain the top cushion on the head. Bastrop kept coming off, but he did something to make it permanent, but he loves him.

I absolutely LOVE these headphones! Having only been a wired headset gamer for the last 10+ years, switching over to these feels like night and day. The sound quality, the volume control, and the loudness of them alone are top notch quality! The battery life is amazing, they're extremely comfortable and they work with every console I have alongside my PC! The microphone quality isn't the best, but that's not what I'm using them for personally. But it'll definitely get the job done if you're planning to use them for things like party chat or Discord calls. ... show more
