Pros: -Easy Assembly -2x8 Watt speakers is plenty for home use and still packs a punch (Lower registry will be felt in your chest at higher volumes) in a smallish 10x10 foot room. - Despite what some youtube reviewers and piano forums say, GHS weighted keys provide a “close enough” approximation to an acoustic piano. I grew up playing on a $20k Schimmel baby grand and can tell you the key action is not the same, but it is absolutely close enough for novice / intermediate players. - Looks great. Someone would walk into the room and know it was a piano, and not a digital keyboard. - VRM Lite is exceptional and really does give the feeling of sympathetic vibrations. - Won’t ruin relationships having to get friends and family to help you move it - Piano sound is a 9/10 from the speakers, and a 11/10 with a good pair of headphones. - Just expensive enough to be quality without breaking the bank. You are buying the best price to performance in this range. - It is quite easy to forget you aren’t actually playing something with strings. Cons: - A lot of Digital Piano Forums and YouTube reviews paint the GHS and 8W speakers in a bad light which gave me crazy buyers remorse in the time between ordering and receiving the piano. Once I had assembled the piano and played on it for a while, all buyer's remorse melted away. I really like this piano especially in this price point. My grandson is so happy we both this piano model. He was in love with mine which is an older but very similar model. It is great for a learner and practice. The sound and touch can be adjusted to whatever you like. It sounds very much like an acoustic instrument to me. Headphones are a wonderful accessory for my grandson who wants to play this 24/7. Wow!! This sweet little thing arrived on my doorstep on 29 November 2025. It was packaged in such a way that all parts were securely tucked in and protected so shipping and handling did not cause any damage to any of the components. Set up was a beeze and did not require any type of special tools to assemble. There were basically three parts that required assembly ; the bench, the music rack, and the foundation for the keyboard to rest on. The instruction manual, written in several languages, was very thorough and easy to inderstand, and included instructions along with illustrations describing all the features and functionality which proved to be very helpful. It also came with an easy / moderately easy book of classical music. Now onto the keyboard itself... You will enjoy the authentic piano feel, touch sensitivity high-quality sound, and beginner-friendly features. There are 88 Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) weighted keys that mimic an acoustic piano's touch. In addition, there is a built-in song library showcasing the various 10 different voices that include Grand Piano, Mellow Grand, Pop Grand, Strings. Vibraphone, Electric Piano, Jazz Organ, Pipe Organ, Harpsicord, Electric Piano, that can be played on full keyboard (same sound on all 88 keys), a split voice where half of the keyboard can use a selected voice, while the other half can use a different voice, and the dual functionality, where you can program the keyboard the play 2 voices at the same time. There is a keyboard "dust cover" as well. My favorite is playing Grand Piano coupled with strings. It soundS AWESOME. There a Metronome functionality which is a great compliment to this piano. You are able to record your playing, and during playback, you have the ability to play along with it, using different voices and playing a different accompaniment such as adding rolled chords, playing descents, etc. There are 3 foot pedals, just like using a regular piano, and have the same function. The piano bench, with no storage compartment, is shorter in length in comparison to that which is usually used for a regular piano, but with a bonus...THIS ONE IS PADDED!! I've been using Yamaha pianos for more than 30 years and love the quality. However, this time the whole skrews and caps are totally missing in the delivery. Missing parts would be fairly common in American products but in contrast very rare in Japanese products. Actually this is the first time I encounter some defects on a Japanese product. It takes me two more weeks looking for help from Amazon (not helping) and finally from Yamaha customer service. It is very heavy and you may want to do the assembly by two or more persons.
