  • Incredible Quality for the Price
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One Edition: Standard
I game on an xbox series x (usually COD). I bought Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2s to use as a wireless headset. They were absolutely awful with connectivity, but I thought the sound quality was great. But that changed when I got these Astros. These Astros are absolutely incredible and blow the competition out of the water. After being burned by the expensive Turtle Beaches I am hesitant to splurge on super expensive headphones for gaming at any time soon, but when I do I will 100% pay for Astros next time. I can't believe how incredible these are for the low price point. The drawbacks are that they aren't the comfiest, they don't have bluetooth connectivity (to talk on the phone and game at the same time), and they don't have noise cancelling and let in a lot of outside noise. But since they are on the cheaper end, these things don't matter to me. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Solid sound, fine quality, mediocre comfort
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One Edition: Standard
The MixAmp M60 is the best part about this headset, however they aren't exactly bad. The headset is not made as well as the other Astro headsets I have owned, and the comfort really reflects this. It isn't a headset I would wear for hours at a time like the A40s or A50s. Sound quality wise, the headset is totally fine, but the headset band feels like the plastic is going to snap. The ear parts are pretty small and very tight, which is inconvenient but not a deal breaker. I really liked the idea of a quick mute mic, but unfortunately the mic is locked to one side of the headset, and the headset feels designed to be worn a specific way, meaning I can't have the headset on my preferred side. If you're looking for a great headset, just spend the extra $50-100 and get the A40 or A50 series. The comfort and quality really show up this cheaper model. ... show more

  • AS IF IM IN THE GAME!
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One Edition: Standard
I am actually jealous. I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and let me you tell you.....I tested this out on my xbox one while playing Rainbow Six Siege, I CAN HEAR EVERYTHING CLEAR AS IF IM IN THE GAME. I have the same mic but the only difference is that I don't have the mixamp. There is a big difference, and with that is that its a lot more louder, clearer and you have more control of muting and volume control. There was wrapping on the microphones and practically looked brand new, before I tested it out. Everything with packaging came out perfect no worries on that! Just wanted to make sure it worked and it did, with great wonders! ... show more

  • The amp is overprice and useless
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One Edition: Standard
First off it took weeks of 8+ hour gaming sessions to soften up the foam on the headband of this gaming headset. It became VERY uncomfortable after 2-3 hours of gaming and would cause slight headaches, I had to put my hoodie under it to give me extra padding to make it tolerable. Second, the amp is useless. It only makes muting and adjusting voice/game volumes more convenient, its a high priced mixer. It is NOT an amp. I have dolby atmos (which is only 5 bucks) and that did more than the so called "amp". After unhooking the amp because I switched to a controller that has a paddle setup which makes it impossible to plug in said amp, I literally noticed NO DIFFERENCE in sound. Not in loudness nor quality. The headset itself is nice and seems durable for its price. Once worn-in all the way, it should be a nice headset (but keep in mind this could take months depending on how often u game). Mic quality is superb, I speak very low at times and my squad can still hear me. Do yourself a favor though and purchase the headset by itself, the "mixamp" is overpriced garbage. Save up for the higher priced amps they offer Update: mic stopped working literally 1 day after writing this review. Going to return product. I *might* buy the a40s with the pricier amp, but kinda nervous to when the mic died on the a10s after 2 weeks of use. I never mistreat my equipment and have a dedicated small gaming area with no animals or children. If it had died after a month of buying it, id be out $80 bucks with no chance of returning it. ... show more

  • Comfortable, loud, NO bass/all treble. Returned.
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One Edition: Standard
I have had 2 headsets previous to buying this one. A set of Turtle Beach when I had my 360 and Turtle Beach XO Four for my One. I have heard a lot of good things about Astro's so I thought I would give them a shot. I used them for nearly a month before writing this review because I wanted to be able to write a review after thoroughly using them. I will say that they are equally as comfortable as my XO Four, and they use the mix amp like the TurtlebBeach, but that's about as good as they compare. The sound quality is far inferior compared to the XO Four. There is ZERO bass. They get super loud, and with that much treble, it hurts your ears. There is this feature with the Turtle Beaches, I don't know what it's called, but when you press and hold the mute button, there are 4 different beeps and it allows you to hear yourself better so you're not yelling into your mic. The Astro's don't have that, so if I am muted, it sounds the same if I am not. For me, it was super annoying. Long story short, I'm returned them and will be going back to Turtle Beaches. ... show more

  • AMAZING...for the price
Platform For Display: Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One Edition: Standard
So you’re probably looking at this headset wondering, “only $60?? No way it’s any good”. Well, it is. It’s actually quite good...for the money. Are there better headset/mics out there? Absolutely. But you’re going to pay an arm and a leg for them. The sound quality of the headset is just as good as the $200 turtle beaches I owned previously. I can pinpoint where other players are simply by just listening. And because they are a wired connection they never cut out. I’ve been told by all of my friends they could instantly tell I got a new mic due to the better sound quality of the microphone itself. The build quality of them is great too. They’re very durable and Don’t feel flimsy or weak. The padding on the ears is comfortable and I’ve played for hours without any pain or discomfort. And my head is huge(size 8 in hats lol) The cons of this are few in my book. One thing is that you can’t hear yourself talk. Which is awesome because they’re so sound proof, but sucks because you can’t hear what you’re saying lol they aren’t the most comfortable headset. But they aren’t uncomfortable. I would recommend you pay the extra $20 for the amp which allows you to adjust both game and chat volume separately. All in all, if you’re on a budget I’d highly recommend these. ... show more
