The older design where the flaps go through the rails of the saddle works better than this one. It does stay on, but it wiggles around a little so it might not stay centered behind the saddle while riding hard. As for the effectiveness.. it does work, but obviously not as well as an actual fender. To the other comments saying it does not work, you can't have it all (light, cheap, easy to install, works perfectly). It's just too much to ask for.     • Way Overpriced. Printing Can Be Removed With Lacquer Thinner
$12 is robbery for a piece of die cut plastic. $1.95 would be a more appropriate price, but it does work well. It's very easy to stash it in your backpack if only need it occasionally. USE LACQUER THINNER TO REMOVE THE IDIOTIC NAME PRINTED ALL OVER IT. It will wash the ink away and won't harm the plastic. ... show more

I had an old ass saver from Rapha. It was just magnificent. This one doesn't stay aligned with my Selle Royal saddle it keeps turning either to the right or to the left on the horizontal plane. Quality seems great however. It probably didn't work for my saddle which has a small rounded protrusion in the back for Selle Royal proprietary tail light. ... show more

I see many reviews on this product screaming about the price of this item. Taking in consideration that it is originally designed by this company, manufactured in Sweden and adding all the import taxes, shipping, etc, I don't mind the price. At least it's not a cheap copy from China. The item is very simple and does the job of keeping my shorts in much better shape than riding a bike without it. Keep your expectations real.     • Super easy installation, gets the job done
For a cheap easy to install alternative to a real rear fender these are great. Is it as good as a real full fender? Of course not, will it keep a line of mud off your spine after a wet ride? Yeah, it'll do that. You may end up with some mud splash on your lower legs, but again you're buying as limited a protection device that still does what it's supposed to. I've since gone with a full fender, but this is great and easy to slap on my other bike or a friend's if they're in a pinch. ... show more

    • Warps often and needs re straightened constantly
Haven't had a chance to use it in the rain yet so i can't speak to it's functionality. It is easy to install but is thin and easily becomes warped and droopy. I tried tucking it under my seat but it still hangs out a bit and then is curled when removed.
