We use a sleeper sofa as a guest bed and it's not very comfortable to lay on, so we got this which is a foam topper and includes a cover. Since getting it, we haven't moved it off the sleeper sofa and the kids will sit/lounge on it during the day and often fall asleep on it through the night. I sometimes sleep on it as well (full grown adult just under 6' tall) and it is just long enough for me to sleep on it without having my head or feet hang over it. There is a couch seam that always made the sleeper sofa uncomfortable to sleep on but that has gone away with this topper. Will think about taking this on long car rides or camping trips as well. Side note: It comes tightly bound but fluffed up within an hour and never had any scent to it.

This was my first time purchasing a cooling gel foam memory topper. I was really excited because this topper not only checked all the boxes for what I normally look for in a mattress topper, but it would also keep my back cool (I sleep on my back and sides, but more-so on my back). I took a gamble spending the extra for that added comfort. The first night, after laying on it for 15-20 minutes, my back got super hot. This prompted me to roll on my side which is how I slept. When I woke up my back was in slight pain. Initially I thought I just slept on it wrong that night, so I stretched and went about my day. The 2nd night, the same thing happened: 15-20 minutes after laying down my back was too hot, had to roll on my side, and again woke up in pain... this time worse pain. This uncomfortable cycle went on for 2 more nights with my back feeling progressively worse before I thought about flipping my mattress. I did that, but still had the same problems that 5th night. Then I considered my current mattress must be bad, so I tried this topper on my guest bed. Nope. Same issues. I then put my old topper (without the cooling technology) back on my bed and slept comfortably for the first time in a week. I hate returning things and I really tried everything I could to use the topper, but I just couldn't sleep well with it. I also did my best to return it. The company said they don't accept returns or offer refunds despite the listing saying they did offer returns and refunds. After pointing this out they did offer a refund and let me keep it. I asked how to properly dispose of it because no one I knew wanted this uncofortable topper, and they said I could find other uses for it like cutting it up to make pillows (which doesn't sound safe because of the cooling gel). Some other things I noticed was that this topper slid on my mattress despite having slip gards on the outer skin. The only thing that felt good when I woke up was my legs, so I got great leg support from this, but not back and shoulder support or comfort. With a product that had so many positive reviews and high ratings, I expected excellence. Titling this review "Not For Everyone" is fair since this may be perfect and comfortable for some people but not others. I unfortunately fell in the latter category this time. I probably will not be getting a "cooling gel" topper again either.
