The Ascent whey protein isolate is great tasting. It has a very sweet taste with noticeable coconut and pineapple flavors, without too much sugar. It mixes easily. Tastes like a festive tropical drink more than protein powder to me! The "whey" flavor wasn't strong due to the strong pineapple and coconut flavors. Definitely more pineapple forward than coconut. Best with room temp or cold water in a blender bottle. I wish it were slightly less sweet though. I think this would probably be great as a slushy if you have an electric blender.

I was excited to try this protein powder as a lighter, refreshing alternative to traditional protein shakes. It mixes easily, has a nice fruity flavor, and delivers 20g of protein with clean ingredients, which is perfect for post-workout recovery. However, I felt like I had a mild allergic reaction to something in it, even though I don’t have any known allergies. It left my mouth and lips feeling itchy and tingly, so I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I’d hoped. If you’re not sensitive to any ingredients, it’s a great low-calorie option for muscle recovery, but I’d recommend trying a sample first if you’re unsure how your body might react.

I have never tried a clear whey protein, so this was my first time trying it. I like how this easily dissolved (of course, after I shook it a bunch). It tastes almost like a pina colada but flat. Not bad but I definitely would add ice. I did try with some non dairy milk and I love it!

Even though this protein froths a bit and has a high "dust" factor out of the package, this is a tasty and refreshing alternative to the usual vanilla or chocolate protein powders by the same brand. I'll continue to keep it in rotation.

I have been trying to find a no-carb/low-carb whey isolate in a fruit flavor, so thought I’d try this one as orange flavors are rare. I really want to like this product, despite its added sugar, but alas, no joy. The protein powder foamed up a lot and also got clumpy and didn’t mix well. I had chunks in the bottom of the shaker bottle after consuming, not to mention the annoyance of foam exploding out the top and having to deal with that mess. Overall, I do NOT recommend this product as there are better quality protein powders from other brands (just not in orange, sadly).
