  • ---VERY IMPORTANT---- PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE----: Red ignition wire of the new radio has to be run separately from the vehicle radio harness (factory radio plug has no ignition power wire). Will not retain some features like steering audio controls, rear DVD audio, etc.
  • Important: Only works with vehicles with the 'Hazard button' in the top center of the kit like the 2nd picture shows. If the radio is not part of the dash bezel or the Hazard button is located to the right of the dash panel then this won't work with it. Only work with vehicles that have the Hazard button in the top center of the dash. Not compatible with vehicles with Navigation or 4.2" screen type factory radios.

I recently bought a 2013 F-150 XL Base that was a fleet turn-in. It has the bare basics and I wanted to add a double din unit with bluetooth and backup camera. I was worried that this unit would be difficult to remove and that the finish would not be good. I watched a few Youtube videos and decided to try it. The kit included two wire harnesses. Only the larger harness fit my 2013 f-150, but I did not need the small harness anyway. The large harness and the antenna converter were very helpful. As the directions say, I had to run a 12 volt Accessory wire from the cabin fuse box. In all, I was very impressed with the fit and finish. I was easy to get in and out. Perfect fit. I bought all my parts for professional installation of a 2 DIN touchscreen unit, and the installer commented this was the same brand he uses. The texture was different from the OEM faceplate, and I think that is to be expected. The dash kit is easy to install, fits many types of cars as noted in the description. Just follow the install directions and make sure you cut out the correct tabs according to the make and model of your vehicle.

Ok I just want to help. Not to bash the seller,But they need to make this a little clearer. I have a 2014 f150 stx BUT I have sync. They just didn’t make that clear and the harness won’t work. So the face plate fits fine for my truck. I see another guy who has a gap but he didn’t read to see it wouldn’t work with his model. As far as looks and quality, it seems strong and fits well, but as you can see in my pics it’s not as nice as the factory. Also you will want to install all your heat and hazarded buttons and make sure they work before you install everything. I had to do som light shaving to make sure the knobs and buttons worked properly. Thank god for YouTube and giving me that little tip! Now for the harness,it doesn’t work with my model. Pull your radio out first before you order this. If you ha e two clips in the back like I do this will not work for you. I know it comes with two clips but the little one in the picture is for aux or an amp. Yes the main clip fits in my radio BUT the wires have to be split the correct way between the two. I hope this helps. I don’t have the technical word for everything. Maybe they can give a little better details in the description for future buyers. Little update. You can make this harness work for you and they do mention it in the description. You have to run your own ignition wire. There isn’t one running there the internal harness. So for me I just extended the red from the back of the stereo and ran it to the harness under my stererig wheel on a 14 f150 it’s the white with orange stripe that you have to tap into. Took me forever to get the radio to turn on because there is no power in this harness. If you’re installing this just know that you have to run a wire from the red wire on the radio all the way down to the orange/white wire under the steering column Also the Plastic is a different color and the mounting for the radio sucks. It’s really cheaply made I wish I would’ve got with the maestro dash kit ... show more
