The package changed, called American Biotech Labs got an answer to my questions, they answered my call reassuring me that that product is the same just different packaging. Used it the other day I burnt my ear with the curling iron applied it quickly it stopped the pain ASAP. Heals faster. Good Silver Sol.

Contains Colloidal Silver in a water-based gel that is very soothing and healing for cuts, abrasions, 1st and 2nd degree burns, and skin irritations. Remember, we live in an age of MRSA and other highly dangerous infectious that are literally everywhere, so even a tiny cut can be dangerous. I knew of a neighbor a few years ago who had a small cut on his middle finger. He put something on it, covered it up and forgot it for a few days. When he took off the band aid, the small cut had turned black. He went to the doctor and found out he had been infected with MRSA, and was told he would lose his finger, could lose his hand, and could even lose his arm up to the elbow. Lucky for him he only lost his finger, but the point is clear: treat every cut as soon as possible to prevent a source for an invasion of a deadly infection that can destroy your limbs and even your internal organs. I have had great success by putting colloidal silver in a spray or gel form on any cut AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! This prevents infection and greatly speeds up the healing process. If the infection is allowed to get down into the skin and muscle, it will be harder to heal and be potentially dangerous, because if the silver ointment cannot get to the infected flesh, it cannot do the job. It is also important to prevent infection because of all of the antibiotic-resistant pathogens that are becoming so common. Amazon has many forms of the highly effective colloidal silver, so do some research. And make sure you treat children's boo-boos right away. So I do recommend this product as a quality and cost-effective product--you get 4 ounces! Nice to keep on hand for immediate use. (I also recommend using Epsom Salts as a hot soak for deeper infections, it sucks the poison out through the process of osmosis, then apply the silver. Full disclosure, I am not a doctor but I know what works for me and those I care about.)

Came with expiration date Exp: 3-2018, which is half gone at only 18 months. (New product shelf life should be 3 years.) Seller says Amazon expiration requirement for meds is 3 months or more. Also, wrote American Biotech Lab inquiring what the difference is between this ASAP OTC product and ASAP-365 Silver Gel, both with 24 PPM silver solution. Upgraded to 4-stars because mfg finally responded (1 month later): ANSWER about difference between ASAP OTC and ASAP-365: "The ASAP OTC Wound Dressing Gel is cleared by the FDA as an over the counter medical device for use on minor cuts, lacerations, abrasions, skin irritations, and 1st and 2nd degree burns. The ASAP 365 Silver Gel is a cosmetic gel for use all over the body to help promote natural healing of the skin. Structurally they are very similar, but the claims they are allowed to make are very different. Due to FDA regulations, we really can’t be any more specific than this."

This new version of Silver healing gel is nothing like the original version. This one may be "FDA" approved but it certainly does not heal as quickly nor as scar free as the original. I had a long cut on my arm from a tree branch I tangled with. The entire wound was healing within 2 days of the old version and at the "ends" of the wound that were not as deep, they healed with no scaring. When I ran out and purchased the "new" version, it has taken over 10 days and still not completely gone. Sorry but I am not a fan. I wish the old Silver was still available.

I have been using this gel and liquid for at least the past 12 years when it was called Probiosil. I would spray the liquid on the back of my throat and in my nose throughout the day to nip a cold before it got hold. The first full day that Hurricane Florence hit Wilmington in 2018, I accidently gave myself a scalding 2nd/3rd degree burn across my abdomen when I spilled boiling water onto the kitchen counter and myself. Nothing was open for emergency care for days, but fortunately, I had all the supplies I needed to treat the wound - ASAP was slathered on a few times a day until I could see some healing. It was amazing that in two-weeks time, the 3" x 8" burn had sufficiently healed to be able to comfortably wear a seat belt on an 8-hour plane trip across the country. Hard to believe, but I can't see a scar from the burn area!! My teen daughter used it for years on her face when she would have a breakout; I use it on my face when I have a flare up of Rosacea; still slather it on any cuts or abrasions with a bandage over it; apply the gel to the inside of my nose when I get on a plane! LOL I can't say enough about the high-regard I have for this product and hope that they will continue to produce it and introduce a stronger liquid version....
