Wow, I'm so excited to get my new pack of Artistro paint pens. The slide packaging is solid and will keep the pens together in great condition for a long time. They even include two extra tips in case one gets ruined! There is a warranty/instruction card and a contest entry card. I can't say enough about these new acrylic paint markers. I have had another set of Artistro paint markers for about a year. They've been wonderful and I use them all the time. But these seem to flow even better with smoother lines and I LOVE the new colors. I've only sampled these at this point but already am very happy with them. I'm currently using them on a painted rock that is a get well gift for a friend. My Grandkids use these a lot for fun, mess free art activities. The finished products are always pretty and professional looking. You can't go wrong with these. I hope they last a ling time. I know they will be well used in my household.

A quick push on the tip gets the paint flowing quickly. Watch out! On the first three markers that I used, blobs of paint fell on the surface of my trial coloring object. Not good. There is no waiting time for the paint to start flowing. Because of the excessive flow, they are probably not a good choice for children. I use mine primarily on rocks, and they work fairly well for both smooth and rough surfaces. The rough surfaces may take more than one layer to get a smooth look. I also used mine on lightweight paper with okay results. PLUS: `They are very easy to prime, and the color flows quickly. The caps are easy on, easy off. The paint is a close match in color to the barrels. The darker colors are vivid and the pastels soft and opaque. There is no bleed-through on medium weight paper, but may be some on lightweight paper. There is no color name, but the cap ends are numbered. Markers come in a sturdy slide storage box, and fit tightly inside. MINUS: The paint is thin and watery but opaque. `The pale yellow was extremely stubborn, and had to have excessive pampering to work. The nib was stuck and I could not get it to slide inside the barrel for priming. I discovered that the nib was upside down in the barrel. When I reversed the nib, the paint flowed easily. As a matter of fact, it came out in a big blob. `The nibs are scratchy. If a second coat of paint is needed, the nib scratches the first coat, even when it is completely dry. `The flow is a bit excessive, but manageable. It just needs lots of patience and careful management. `The caps may not be securely attached upon arrival. Be careful when shaking the marker. The tops may fly off and the marker and top will become airborne. `Some colors tend to bleed into others when coloring on paper.

Great variety of colors. Easy & fun to use. The acrylic paint stays on a variety of surfaces after it dries. Cleans up or wipes off with water when wet.
