Overall, really good quality for the price. A great chair is over 2,500 dollars, so comparatively this chair is very affordable. I saw some cheaper ones, but for the extra dollars this one has more style and seems sturdier. Just warn your client to not stand on the footrest. It’s not built to support a persons weight standing on it. It’s simply bolted to the bottom of the seat. But it won’t break at all, it’ll just tilt the chair forward and they could trip. Just make them aware to step over it and sit before resting their feet on it. The footrest is all metal and welded well. It should last and never break. The chair itself is sturdy. The upholstery on the chair is really nice-looking. It’s comfortable. Easy to assemble. And the hydraulic lift mechanism is functioning well. Again, not the same as the one at the barbershop. But it’s very good for at-home cuts in the garage. I only give 4 stars because it’s not the same as the expensive ones. But that’s okay. I recommend this chair for sure. ... show more

    • We were so looking forward to getting this chair - but it just didn't work out.

Although this chair is superbly constructed, we were disappointed to note (once assembled and placed by our shampoo station) that the back part of the chair doesn't lean back far enough. The maximum angle on the back of the chair is such that when a customer sits in the chair, they cannot get their head over the shampoo station sink. We've tried everything, but nothing worked. So unfortunately, we have to return this chair. The return of the chair is turning out to be a nightmare as it has to be boxed back up (we threw the shipping box away), and of course, disassembled - plus you have to pay for shipping. Shipping for the heavy weight of this chair will run from $60 to $100 USD depending on what shipper you use. As senior citizens, this has turned out to be a nightmare for us. It's best if you buy something like this from a local outlet, rather than ordering it online, so if you have to return it for whatever reason, you just bring it to the store. Oh well...lessons learned. ... show more

Bought this chair because I was in need of one that had a headrest. My previous chair was a salon chair that did not have one. For the price, I couldn’t ask for much more. It doesn’t go up as high as the salon chair but that’s fine for me. Has a slight play in it from left to right while in the locked position but not bad. I like the width of the seat and back and the bolstering it has for proper seating position. The only thing I did to it was add some 3-1 oil to the pump so that it would move smoothly up and down and left to right. Great chair and I highly recommend for someone cutting from home. Would invest in a better chair for an actual shop environment. Only took about 30 minutes to put together on my own. Only basic tools required. ... show more

Mine came damaged so it’s a no for me! Seating is comfortable great design sturdy but not bulky something that I was lookin for. easy to assemble the foot rest is a lil on the short side not good for your taller clients.
