I LOVE this. I got it for indoors as a feature wall behind my sewing table and it is sturdy and looks great. It’s easy to trim. If you are going to use it indoors I would find somewhere you can unroll it and air it out because it does have a VERY strong plasticy chemical smell out of the box and takes several days to air out and die down. ... show more

Attempted to use these DearHouse Artificial Ivy Privacy Fence Wall Screen, 59x236.2inch Artificial Hedges Fence and Faux Ivy Vine Leaf Decoration for Outdoor Garden Decor for sections of a plain old brick wall around the pool. Yes, they come in smaller sections ,which allows for a lot of flexibility for coverage. Our package did not come with any zip ties, but not a big deal as I was attaching to a brick wall = not any real good way to use a zip tie in this case. Well, they are, as others have described, these are very light weight, not real sturdy, and the leaves do seem to fall off quite easily. And yes, they look fake... imagine that, something with "Faux" in the description, and they do not look real. We opted to return them as they just don't look like they will hold up in the Arizona sunshine, winds, or the heat. Probably better suited for a calmer climate zone, and maybe, simply, more for privacy. ... show more

I'm thoroughly impressed with these. We are using it to help give us a little bit of privacy above. Our 6-ft fence. Went on well and did really well because we had a hard thunderstorm the following day after we put it up and it held up really well. I bought three more.

    • Looks nice - but major flaw

Bought about 50' of this product and installed it 6 months ago for a privacy screen in my pool area. FIRST THE "OK" NEWS - it's a natural color and looks realistic. The leaves are reasonably dense, but as some reviewers noted you can see through it a bit - so if you need something that is absolutely not see through - this may not be the product for you. Installation was pretty easy but the zip ties provided are fairly short and it takes a bit of finger gymnastics for one person to wrap the zip tie around a fence picket and attach it while trying to hold the "blanket" up on the fence. Longer zip ties would make it easier and they should provide that with the product (I purchased a bunch of longer sturdier ties on Amazon for a few $) . I recruited my wife to help hold things while I maneuvered the zip ties and that helped a lot - honestly this is a two (or more) person install job -certainly for the larger sizes. While the vast majority of the leaves have stayed firmly attached, I did experience a few that fell off during installation and a few more that later detached during particularly windy days (20+ mph gusts). Overall, it has maintained its color and appearance fairly well in the first 6 months. NOW THE BAD NEWS - the plastic "mesh" frame that holds all of the leaves has become so brittle that entire sections of the product are just falling off of the fence. At first I thought the zip ties were breaking but that was not the case - and for those skeptics who may think I didn't use enough zip ties - as mentioned before I bought extras such that I installed over three times the number that came with the size I ordered. All of my zip ties were still attached to the fence but the mesh itself had become so brittle that even a light touch with your finger would snap it. Moving the zip ties to unbroken sections of the mesh provide futile as it would simply break the brittle mesh in a new area. It has become so brittle that simply the weight of the blanket itself is enough for it to break loose from the fence - without the assistance of even the slightest breeze. I will contact the seller to see what they may suggest, but I see no way to rescue the current installation. Were it not for this issue, I would be fairly happy with the purchase and price paid. However, my recommendation is not to buy this product unless you are comfortable replacing it EVERY SIX MONTHS. Good Luck! ... show more

We bought this in two different batches to put up on the white fence along our patio to break up the light and heat reflection. While the orders were only about a month apart, there was a slight variation in the ivy itself though that was fine with us. Put it up with clips and gorilla tape along ~50foot of fence and it has been awesome. Made it through some amazing wind storms etc. for a good 16 months. I was just remarking how great its held up and been a great decision. Sadly, today I noticed a section that fell down. I thought the wind had just somehow blew it out of its clips. Turns out the plastic lattice broke. The lattice framework that the ivy attaches to is just disintegrating and breaks as easily as a dried piece of spaghetti. And not just in places where it was exposed to the sun. There are spots where its been covered by ivy and its just as fragile. So great as a temporary solution and would give it 5 stars. Sadly, as a long term solution doesn't seem viable so consider it disposable. ... show more
