My husband said this wouldn't work for what I wanted it for, but as we all know, husbands sometimes get it wrong. Our wood pergola is great but it faces west and the top just has these big beams going across it in both directions that are very open and don't keep out the hot afternoon Florida sun. To solve the problem, I put a few screws across the front beam and hung up roller shades. I then laid 2 pieces of DearHouse Artificial Faux Ivy across the top (side by side which covered the entire top) -- grid side up, ivy side down -- and secured with screws, zip ties and a heavy duty staple gun. The leaves come down into the pergola from the top and you can't see the grid at all. It's even held up under some pretty fierce thunderstorms, although if you want even more protection, you can cover the top with chicken wire to hold it in place even more. It won't show. It looks beautiful, plenty of light gets through, but no more problems with the sun. Even my husband was impressed. ... show more

I live in a high end neighborhood and built a deck. The neighbors freaked out. We have an HOA system and the rules state that we can't build things that can be seen by our neighbors. Looks decent, the leaves are a little flimsy. Quite a few leaves have blown off into the pool. Zip cable ties should be included not sold separately. A little pricey for the quality.

The media could not be loaded. We ordered these because our house backs up to a greenback and a trail. I like to keep the weeds cut so we don't have critters in the backyard. However, my digs bark at everything and everyone who uses the trail. We got these to block their view in and block people looking in.
