My first time doing my own nails. I followed all the directions. These chrome powders are beautiful. I chose this color as a nod to Halloween. I set the top coat for 20 seconds, applied the powder and then did another top coat and set. Will make more effort next time to not get so close to the cuticle and I need a brush to dust off excess powder. Bits of it got in my top coat.

LOVE these chrome powders. So many colors to choose from & they’re all so vibrant. I’ve used this twice now and the chrome doesn’t chip or peel during my nail sets (which I keep on for 3-4 weeks). Definitely a good deal for the quantity you get. The jars are nice & compact for easy storage & a little goes a long way for your nail sets.

Edit: 11/21 I put these down for a little while since I was initially not happy with it. Watched some YT videos on different approaches to this and found the one that works (for me)! Now, I absolutely LOVE these. There are a few that ARE just glitter powder but most actually are the mirror/chrome powders I wanted. I get the best clean look when I make sure to do a few important things. 1) make sure your nails are clean, SMOOTHE, and oil free. BUFF THE SURFACE 2) use a latex brush on-peel off tape around your nail bed right up to the edges of your cuticles and sides. This way you don't need to worry about being neat. 3) use a no-wipe top coat and cure for a little over half the recommended time on the bottle. I didn't like using a black color base coat initially so I've only used clear base and these still show well 3) I use a small makeup brush (like a little blush brush) to apply and sweep it on. I dab the brush in the powder then sweep down onto my nails a few times till I see the shine. I put a kleenex under my hands. As I move from one nail to the other I simply dab into the excess powder that falls onto the kleenex before going back to the pot. I don't like feeling like I'm wasting the powder. (I just ordered the powder recycle cup) then I use a regular blush brush to brush my nails off and apply another top coat. I've applied up to 2 coats of powder. Anything more than that and it looks clownish. After your last top coat, just peel off the latex cuticle tape, wash your hands with regular soap and water. Done! This whole process takes me less than 30 min for a satisfactory finish on both hands. I can do it so quickly b/c the cuticle peel off tape means I don't need to worry about being super neat. If I rub across my cuticles with either the gel or powder that part is going to be peeled away anyway. For the most part my nails end up with the chrome look and just a hint of glitter/sparkle which I love! Also: DO NOT use cuticle oil or body oil for a little while after applying. It will lift the gel right off your nail. I learned this the hard way. Regular lotion is fine. Get a gel polish remover that brushes on. It makes removal SO much easier, faster, and with zero damage to your nails. No harsh fileing needed. Just brush it on, wait about 5-10 min depending on how many coats of powder/ polish you applied, then use an orange stick or another flat tool to simply push the powder right of your nail. You will literally SEE it lifting off before you even touch it. Original review: I like the colors though some are very close/similar in color. But these are glittery not chrome. I've tried them with a black base, a white base, a clear base and they look the same each time. Glittery but not chrome. Not even a mirror shine. The top coat makes it look like any other nail polish shine but no chrome and no mirror shine at all. I gave it 2 stars only because the colors are pretty, it's easy to apply, the quantity is really good, and it arrived in packaged well.

I have never used anything like this before, so I followed the instructions and everything came out perfectly! It is really cool to watch the powder become mirror-like when you rub it on your nails. Fun stuff! The variety of colors is nice and I'm sure they will all be equally as beautiful. The jars might seem small, but they hold a lot. Texture is great with clear top coat added on.
