Ordered this for husbandβs fishing boat as he is doing more trips alone and getting up in years. I am not sure he has the strength to climb back into his 16 ft. Deep V if he would fall in the water. It is great-he puts on his life jacket and hooks up his ladder before he takes off. Very strong in the makings and clips easily to his cleats. He just drops the ladder when he gets to his fishing spot and doesnβt have any worries about getting back in his boat.

Okay, also... not sure who's buying this that needs to hear it but DON'T HANG THIS FROM YOUR BOW PULPIT OR LIFELINES UNLESS YOUR STANCHIONS ARE DESIGNED FOR IT (and most are not)! Not sure who thought that was a smart picture to start with, but I just feel like it's worth mentioning before someone tries it and finds out the hard way that fiberglass definitely has a weight limit. On to an actual review, I love this little ladder. We got it because our Catalina 27's stern swim ladder is pitiful and the legs hit the hull in a wide unsupported spot, so every time we climb up it, I have to watch that section of fiberglass bow in and out, just screaming that this won't keep working forever. So, now we have a rope ladder. I just hook it to the main halyard, and set that on the shackle at the end of the boom, then loose the mainsheet and swing her out; ladder hangs just in the water, but as soon as you put weight on it, the whole boat heels to help you out a bit. The steps are nice and grippy, and the thing is bulletproof. My only gripe is that the line is pretty stiff so it's a bit of a pain to store neatly; still, fair tradeoff for a good sturdy ladder that's not slowly destroying my boat.

This ladder, for our boat, is designed to get you back on board if you accidentally fall in. We have a very wide 12 aluminum fishing boat and when you are in the water and hanging onto one side it does not roll over to allow you to get into easily. I am not referring to athletic folks under 40 but to oldsters over 60 years old who might fall in and be wearing heavy boots, life vest etc. It just might be very, very difficult for these folks to get back into the boat. BUT, if they are able to deploy this ladder and have a way to climb into the boat it just might save them from hypothermia or a medical emergency. I tested the ladder, it is really well made and has enough steps to allow someone to reach that bottom rung and get started up the ladder. This ladder should be on all small boats, it could save someone's life! One of the things I love about it is its weight capacity 440 lbs., this what a waterlogged elderly well padded older man or woman could weigh and the makers of this ladder have taken this into account. And get this, the whole thing only weighs 2.7 lbs. There should be one of these on the side of every dock, slip and small boat in America, save a life, buy one for a friend too. I can't think of an improvement I would make. Great Job. FIVE STARS!

We have been needing a new ladder for our pontoon for quite a while! I am so thrilled that we came across this one because you really cannot get better quality! Especially for this great low price! Up on receiving the ladder I love how heavy duty it was and how everything is very thick and made from durable materials! It comes with a manual that explains how to put it together. The manual is very clear and easy to read and understand. My husband was easily able to put this together in under 30 minutes by himself! It comes with all the parts and the hardware you will need to get it all put together. It also comes very well packed so you don't have to worry about any damage to the ladder whatsoever! I'm so happy that we went with this particular ladder not only for the sturdiness and durability, but the price! This is an excellent value for your money rest assured! I have been looking for a good ladder at an excellent price and all of the other ones were ridiculously priced but this one! Plus the quality of this one makes it totally worth every penny! It's definitely very thick and sturdy as well! I love that this is multifunctional because if you needed a good ladder for your doc as well you could definitely use this one just by how heavy duty it is it would easily bolt into a dock and hold up very well as well! We really could not be happier and if you're looking for a good ladder for your dock or pontoon I definitely recommend getting this one! This has got to be the best quality we have seen by far!

One thing we needed to replace on our boat is the boat ladder. I did some research and came across this 3 step boat ladder and based on the product description, it sounded like something that would be perfect for our boat. Made with all stainless steel, it is clear once you get this that this is durable and very strong. Below, I will outline some of the other features that I liked and ultimately led me to choose this over other similar ones on the market. *Design: Simplistic design- straight forward engineering- Stainless Steel- Holds weight up to 450 lbs -Pontoon boat ladder *Non-skid PVC Treads Wide steps to help with balance - these are so important and work great *Handrails are designed to be comfortable to grab and pull yourself up - well designed *Material: Marine Grade 316 Stainless steel *Versatile - can be used on other boats, docks and swimming pools too *Dimensions for your reference: 13"W x 50"H with a weight of 18 lbs *Portable All in all, this is our second ladder, and I'm much happier with the "look" and performance of this ladder. It definitely is made with substantial material and is very strong. Installation was not an issue at all. Everything came with the ladder as stated on the prod. description.
