I recently ordered the 141-piece art kit with case. The kit arrived quickly. The product box was beaten up pretty good, so I was concerned when I began to pull out the case. The color and weight of the case is nice, but the quality was missing. My case was scuffed up and had rubbed areas. I went to pull the drawer knobs to inspect inside, and one knob came off and the drawer was askew. I returned for a replacement. The replacement arrived the very next day. The product box is again beaten up. I pulled out the case and there are chunks of the "wood" missing, scratches and the lid was somehow stuck and required some force to open. The drawer, however, is in better condition than the original. I'm not including pictures because other reviewer pictures of the poor quality are represented, albeit a bit better than mine. I noticed that besides the product box being in poor shape the case has too much room to bump around. Perhaps if packaging was more sufficient, there wouldn't be so many issues with quality upon arrival. The issues with the case alone are enough for me to not recommend purchase. And as far as gifting it, not a chance, not even to a child.

Unfortunately the case came with deep scratches on the top and side and the bottom drawer is hard to close. Can't return to close to grandsons birthday so me husband fixed it the best he could. The inside paints and crayons etc.are really nice!
