Exactly as advertised, and I love it in my bedroom. It's nice looking enough to sit on my dresser next to my TV. I like the simplicity and ease of use of this design. The cylindrical filter is extremely easy to remove/replace with a huge tool-less hand screw on the bottom of the unit. (Don't forget to take it out and remove the plastic bag and put it back in before using! They wrap it in plastic so the carbon stays fresh until ready for use.) The built-in nightlight can be turned on or off, and casts a warm white glow out of the top exhaust port. Operation is intuitive from the icons printed on the top switch panel. Noise is similar in nature to a mechanical white noise machine, and I find it soothing on low or medium, and certainly acceptable on high. The volume is similar to other HEPA filters I've owned from Honeywell and Sunbeam. It also has an extremely quiet sleeping mode that turns the fan way down and the indicator lights off so you can barely tell it's on. I really love this feature. If you want relative silence to work or sleep or watch TV without completely turning the unit off, you can do that with this one. If you have a smelly room you need to quickly clear the air in (or noisy upstairs neighbors to drown out) you can turn it all the way up. As for performance, there is a noticeable improvement in room odor and in my allergies. (I'm allergic to dust mites and certain tree and grass pollens.) It also helps with the slight off-gassing smell still coming from my hybrid foam/spring mattress two years later. I don't have a particulate or VOC meter for scientific testing, but the air quality in my bedroom is noticeably improved and my sinuses are less stuffed up in the morning. I would definitely recommend this unit to a friend looking for a small to medium room air filter.

Works great especially with my girlfriend's 2 cats. Easy to clean and not quite as expensive as the LeVoit brand but almost identical in function and design. I would be curious to see if the LeVoit filters would fit this since they are so similar and then I could just pick them up at Walmart instead of having to order them online.

Easy to use, lots of settings. Slightly louder than my other air purifier (different brand). I like all of the settings (night mode, lights on or off, timers etc) I have this in my open living room/kitchen area & use it all day long. We just got a puppy & I was hoping this would help with dander & smells. It cuts down on some of the cooking smells (bacon, peppers, etc) but not significantly. I'm still suffering from allergies & haven't noticed much of anything improvement but I've only had this for about 10 days. Also, it's probably meant for a smaller room but this was a good deal & I desperately needed another air purifier.
