I knew purchasing it that it wasn’t real cowhide. It said “Faux cowhide” and it takes a good picture but looks nothing like the real thing. Even at it’s sale price, it’s overpriced. It is described as ‘brindle’ but I’d call it ‘muddied” It’s a good size, alright but it feels IMO, it looks more more like airbrushed felt. As I said this could look cute in a wee cowgirl or cowboy’s room Or soft on a playroom floor. It says you can handily wash it but It’s already been donated to a charity Thrift Store. Bottom line, I did not like it; didnt want it inmy home, either.

The media could not be loaded. Very soft! I absolutely love this rug! The only reason why I gave it a 4 star out of 5 is because the top of the print isn’t perfectly lined with the thin white padding bottom and I’m scared over time they will peel away and separate from each other over time. I will update this comment if that happens. But I put carpet tape on it and it holds it perfectly toy in place! No shedding, and looks just like the image. I definitely recommend! Very cute!

Returned! First of all the color was completely different from the photo. Not brown at all - kind of cinnamon toned is the best way I can describe it. The reason I returned it though is because after only 5 days of being on my floor the backing began to completely separate from the rug in several places. The majority of the rug was under the front part of my sofa and the middle part was under my big round coffee table. So not walked on much at all; not a high traffic area. I did read this same problem from other reviewers - so BEWARE! It's a deal breaker for me.
