12-year review! This lovely watch is still going strong, no problems, in & out of showers and dish washes and it is still so pretty. Today, 6-18-2022, I was looking at the band and noticing how pretty this silver and gold band still is. It catches the light and shines beautifully, no dulling or rubbing, and I'm not super careful with my watches, so this is worth noting. It's so much better than many of the newer watches I have looked at lately. I need a larger watch now because my my eyes are getting older. I need a larger watch face with day/date but haven't found a replacement yet. This watch is going to last forever, look great forever, with a very few new batteries. Love it! I came across this Armitron watch while looking for something different today. Surprise! Amazon reminds me that I bought this one in 2010! I love this watch. I have worn it constantly for 8 years. It has been compared to a Rolex, which surprised me. It is quite beautiful. I don't wear it in the water, but water does get splashed on it in the sink, etc. The two tones, gold & silver, make this a very versatile watch. In the 8 years I've had this watch, I have never had any problems with it. I'm sure I've had the battery replaced a time or two, and I do remember that I had some links removed for my very small wrist, about 5 1/2". I am reviewing it today in case anyone wonders about the quality of this watch. It is super! I think it will last forever, still looking new and beautiful. I absolutely loved the looks of this watch! Sadly, the band was huge (my wrist is 5.75" ), and I'd need six links removed. Still, I would have done that, but I got one with a bad crown stem, and date/day could not be easily set, and when I finally got them to, they did not advance (and couldn't be set over again). I so wish this would have worked out! Ended up buying a Timex, has indiglo but not nearly as pretty! ... show more

I like how dainty it is, yet it's a bit small to read. But that's ok with me. It gives me the luxe look I want, without the expensive price tag. It is a good watch if you're considering the luxury version, but want to see if you would like the size. Also, adjusting was a small challenge. Look up "adjusting folded links or microadjusting" on YouTube, saved so much time. ... show more

I have been looking for an affordable everyday water resistant day/date ladies watch (I hate getting batteries replaced) and usually buy a timex. Timex did not offer a day/date that I liked (in fact they primarilyonly had dates). I received it today and loved the presentation and how easy it was to set. I usually buy expansion bands for day but this has a clasp and while I could take a few links off, it still overs a comfortable fit. I have never owned this brand before so will update as to reliability. It does not have the Indiglo function, but does offer everything else I wanted. It is much more substantial than the pink face (which a friend swears by). This one is water resistant and easier to read compared to the pink face similar one. For the money and style, I am glad I bought this one. It looks much more expensive than $40 and is priced higher at Walmart (I bought mine through Amazon). I have had this brand and type of watch in the past and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! I love the fact that I can not only tell the time, but see the day and date as well. I know that others had issues with how to set the day and date. However, it's really quiet simple... use your finger nail and click the watches side dial out and to change the day of the week you turn it away from you. To change the day of the month, you turn it towards you. And to change the time, you pull it all the way out and turn it away from you. To set the day of the week and month, you do so by setting day to the date before it actually is and the day before it actually is. Then set the watch to 'midnight', ... Once you have done all of this, turn the time to where it is supposed to be for that day and the day, date and time will be set. The only thing you may need to do - which I have found in prior watches - is to adjust the date on the months we don't have 31 days. But for me it's a minor nusance for a bigger benefit. This is a watch like none other. The only one that is femine, gives day, date & time, and works well and is backed by a name like Armstrong. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED THIS WATCH!!! ... show more

I would consider myself a bit of a collector when it comes to watches. Just going off the pictures I though the face was larger. It’s not. It’s a dainty watch and I gotta say I love it. I have average wrist size and t doesn’t need to be resize but removing one link will be perfect.

I had a watch that I got from my Dad, have it but cant be fixed, which I suffer from Epilepsy ( seizure disorder) My last one 1 was found in my home over 24 hours , organs were almost completely shut down, major head trauma......everyday is a NEW day for me. I wake up and have forgot everything. Found out when recieved this watch from husband, he said I had ordered it before my ordeal, I guess my dad had passed away years ago......I cried I guess, but because of memory I say everyday isn't this watch beautiful ?
