  • Great watches all around
Color: Blue
I've worn the Armitron watches for many years; they're reasonably priced, look good, and last a good while. I got this one to replace a watch I'd had for almost two years by the same company; it was on sale for under 20 dollars. It has all the things you need at a glance: time, date, day of the week, down to the seconds. The light is great if you wear it at night or in dark areas. They're resistant to water and can stand being banged around a bit with no problem. I'd recommend any one of these watches to people who want something simple, reliable, and practical. ... show more

  • Great alternative to Casio
Color: Blue
I typically purchase Casios, and I have ten of them. I wanted to try something a little different and I ordered this Armitron Sport Chronograph since it was on sale and very reasonably priced. I'm glad I did. As a senior with failing eyes, the clean display with large numerals is refreshing. I can't speak for the battery life, but overall, a solid choice. ... show more

  • Good watch, but the band Good watch, but the band
Color: Clear/Multi
I'm a pretty normal-sized woman (size 14, 5'8", size medium latex gloves, size med-large tshirts) but because of my bone structure I tend to look a bit silly in women's teeny-faced watches. I like a chunky watch- but sometimes a man's watch is a bit TOO chunky. And a women's buckle band is usually either too small or fits on the very last buckle, which isn't secure enough for me. I chose this- with a little trepidation- because it's described as "unisex" and has a Velcro design which makes the fit of the band more customizable. Let's start with the good stuff. The price can't be beat. I'm typically a Casio snob. I love them, from the pricey "Japan exclusive" ones to the mass-produced made in China ones. I haven't had one fail on me yet. But this one was even cheaper than my cheapest Casio. And I can remember my Nana claiming that Armitron was a good, reliable everyday watch band. She knew everything, so this tracks. It was ridiculously easy to set and easy to set the alarm. I had it done in less than five minutes. If you've ever owned another digital watch, you'll be able to figure it out. The display is big and uncluttered. It says the time and date. Nothing extra. I love the bright, retro colors of the watch, and I thought that having a Velcro band would be more comfortable than a plastic band. The problem is that the band isn't nearly long enough. I have a slightly large wrist for a woman- I guess equal to a man's small wrist, between 7.5-8"- and because there is a large rubber label on the end of the strap, that portion of the strap can't be bent into the buckle. I'm actually considering using a seam ripper to take it off for more sizing flexibility, even though I really love the way the yellow and teal "Armitron" label adds to the retro appearance. In the photos, you can see what I mean. There is no way to wear the watch looser than I have it, so if you have a bigger wrist, you're out of luck. I'm hoping that with some time, the band will stretch a little bit and become softer. I prefer a slightly looser watch fit- almost like a bracelet- and this watch looks like it's cutting off my circulation (it's not, it just looks that way). I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a good, basic digital watch at a great price- as long as the watch will fit your wrist. ... show more

  • Good cheep watch
Color: Blue
I got this for work since I am not able to wear my smart watch to work for security purposes. This is a good one and has held up doing dock work. Very durable and easy to read. Keeps time well.

  • Great watch band attached to a great watch.
Color: Blue
I've had two of these over the decades, battery lasts many, many years, watch band works great without chafing. I wear it 24/7 workouts, swimming, freezing cold motorcycle rides where rubber watch bands freeze and split.

  • Hey it’s a cheap watch
Color: Black
This is my daily driver work watch and cheap enough not to care if it breaks . I like the 80’s sports watch look of this watch and the backlight is pretty awesome for a cheap watch better than some Casio models. I paid 16 and some change for the watch and have had no issues or complaints. Some people may hate the watch band it is a bit clunky, I thought about replacing the band myself but I have grown to like it overall and it gives this watch the 80’s Velcro rage flavor. ... show more

  • My first Armitron and I'm impressed My first Armitron and I'm impressed
Color: Black
I collect watches and this is my first Armitron. I'm biased towards Casio but after reading the positive reviews and $14 price tag I decided to give it a try. The biggest negative I've read is the wrist strap isn't long enough, so lets get that out of the way first. I have a 7 inch wrist size and this fits perfectly and it's very comfortable. Judging from the remaining slack and distance from the Velcro and fold back loop, this appears to accommodate a maximum wrist size of 8 inches. Measure your wrist first before complaining about this watch, or any watch you buy for that matter. This watch isn't overly large or thick and I prefer that. The display is large and easy to read at all angles, and the EL backlight is uniform across the dial with all LED segments illuminated the same. The resin case has no imperfections and is very durable. The bezel is very thick resin, I don't think any of my Casio's have one this substantial. Setup is easy and intuitive, I didn't even need the manual, but then again I've been using digital watches for 40 years. I'll assume the water resistance to 330ft is correct, or at least somewhere in that range, but I don't swim or shower with my watches and can't verify that. Accuracy is great, I've only had it for a few days and after initially synching it with WWV it's still spot on at the 60 second mark. If you're in the market for a comfortable, good looking and accurate watch, you can't go wrong with this Armitron, especially at the reduced price. I'm glad I bought this. ... show more

  • It's a great buy
Color: Blue
I made the mistake of getting a relatively inexpensive Casio analogue watch that turned out to have a terrible stem design. It was all but impossible to change the day-of-week setting. Very irritating. So I thought — ok, just get a digital watch. I chose this one due to good reviews and simple design, plus price. It's only been a few days, but the accuracy seems very good. Visibility of the time display is pretty good when it's seen from an angle. The illumination works well — covers the whole watch face during the short time it's on (2 or 3 seconds). Having it on both the "C" button and the "EL" button on the watch face is a nice touch. Kudos to Armitron for the included watch band, a cloth (or cloth-like) "NATO style" strap with Velcro closure. It beats the pants off the cheap fake-rubber straps supplied with so many watches. And the "NATO" design will make it easy to replace with a similar design if needed. But I doubt it will need replacing. It's very sturdy. The instructions are a bit strange. The section for setting date and time begins at the far right of the instruction booklet and continues again on the same side but at the far left. Strange. Someone must have made a mistake setting up the instruction pamphlet in a layout program. At any rate setting the watch is not complicated. The watch doesn't display the month, but there _is_ a month adjustment visible only while you're setting time and date. Even though a reply generated by AI here said there's no perpetual calendar, I'll wait until we get to a 30-day month to see if in fact the watch knows how to change to day 1 correctly, depending on the month. Overall: thumbs up. ... show more
