This watch is beautiful and bold! The silver-encased black face gradually gives way to a deep, rich, dark blue, adding visual depth to this watch's face that will mesmerize anyone who admires it. Without exaggeration, the face looks like it glows without emitting any light. Paired with the striking silver hands and the crystal accents, this time piece is an inevitable eye-catcher guaranteed to garner attention from the people around you and to break the monotony in any watch collection. However, the true beauty of this piece is in its ability to do so without looking arrogant. As for the Swarovski crystal accents, they sparkle vibrantly day or night, producing high-price style in a low-price manner. Furthermore, the crystal accents are bigger than I anticipated. I own two other watches with Swarovski crystal accents and the crystals in this watch are significantly bigger. Essentially, Armitron outfits this watch with crystals that are big enough and bold enough, not only to compete with, but also, to compliment the already bold styling of the face. To be clear, I say compete because when you look at the dial, it is difficult to choose whether the colors or the crystals are the centerpiece. Yet, interestingly, both still work together to produce a gallant face. The leather strap employ s a simplistic smooth design, which is a refreshing move away from the crocodile skin textures, snake skin textures, and other textured leather designs. Also, because it is completely smooth, it also has a sheen to it. However, it is not a plastic-like sheen, seeing as the strap looks and feels to be constructed from quality leather, Gentleman, be warned that the strap is wide and may be different to what you are accustomed to. However, the large, bold strap compliments the large, bold dial very well. I prefer to wear this watch with black and rich, brighter blues. I only wish the band had a couple of extra holes. I reached out to see if a longer band was available but never heard anything back. Anyway, I love the watch! I have been wearing mostly my smart rechargeable watches but they are so ugly compared to this one!

The media could not be loaded. Watch seems like good quality, the band feels between okay and good but it does give a clicking noise when pressing the watch. I noticed it when I was fixing the position. Check out the video. If anything will update review with more usage. For now, will keep at 4/5.

The watch is made in Japan as far as I can figure out but the band has a tag on it saying "Band made in China." They must have midgets in China so they could use this watch. If you buy one better get a new band for it. As far as keeping time I wasn't sure at first but after a week or so it does seem to be keeping time. ... show more

The watch is gorgeous. Simple yet elegant design. Keeps time. Nothing else. No date, no alarm, no timer. But why would you need those things at a swanky dinner engagement, or at the Presidential Ball?!? It's certainly suitable for such events. The crystals are very diamond-like -- lots of sparkle. The face of the watch is outstanding, and every bit as good looking as the photos -- maybe better. The delicious smelling leather band is the perfect width and thickness. Not skimpy or fragile looking in the least. Anything beefier would overwhelm the delicate watch, which I believe is the perfect size -- for my wrist anyway, and I am relatively small boned. The holes in the band are very close together -- just another thoughtful Armitron feature that allows for a more comfortable fit. The holes on most bands seem rather far apart, so you end up going from too loose to too tight when merely moving to the very next available hole. The watch looks worth $300 or more in my opinion, but how does about one-tenth of that price sound?!? Oh, and if you live in dread fear that someone might discover that you are wearing a GASP**Armitron watch, Armitron, it would seem, has taken this into consideration, knowing full well that their brand does not elicit the same magnitude of chills that say, Chris Matthews experiences whenever he comes within 250 nautical miles of the President, so Armitron has unselfishly allowed their designers to seamlessly blend the Armitron name into the silvery face.
