I have owned the Pro 3 series cameras over 3 years. The battery life lasts well over a month (sometimes 3+). I currently have 4 regular pro 3 plus one pro 3 spotlight. I couldn't be happier. I live in a semi rural area with lots of wildlife. Deer, coyotes, Fisher Cats etc. I love how the cameras zooms in/out and tracks the animal or human. I also love how it automatically assigns a label such as human, animal, vehicle or package delivery. ***I highly recommend purchasing JUST ONE extra GENUINE ARLO BATTERY, not some no name knockoff and a cradle charger. Then swap the charged battery for the low battery when needed. Meanwhile use the cradle charger to recharge the low battery so it's ready for the next change out. ***You can purchase extra mounts fairly cheap. ***As for range, i am also impressed. I keep the hub near a window in the middle of the house and it receives all my cameras throughout the property, front back, sides and outer reach of the one acre of land I own.

Note this is a refurbished / renewed item, not new and not latest generation of the camera. I determined I didn't need the latest version, nor did I want to pay for the pleasure since my existing cameras work exactly the way I need them.... So I already had several other Arlo cameras and a hub at my vacation home, but needed one more that included spotlight to watch the garage doors... I used an exterior mount and installed as battery ( I don't feel the need for wiring power or solar) operation. Only snag I hit was assuming this version of the camera would use the same recharge cable as my other prior-gen Arlos, which is not the case. So I had to charge the battery separate from my other cameras. Not a big deal, just don't lose the new cable as it is a different solution altogether. Camera has performed well, and I would buy another.

I bought this refurbished because, even with all of the good reviews, they are really expensive new. They came in a refurbished box but everything inside was packaged up very well and looked brand new. The quickstart card made setting them up easy. The only difficulty was trying to align them since getting a live image was difficult, though that was likely due to the poor internet and cell reception at my parents' house. Since I got them set up and angled properly though, they've worked great. The wide angle covers their entire front lawn. I get notified any time a car drives in and if someone approaches the front door. They haven't been installed long enough to really know how the battery will hold up but so far they're exactly what I hoped they'd be.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE 9/12/20: MY ARLO CAMERA QUIT FILMING A THIEF!!!!! SEE THE ATTACHED VIDEO, A PROWLER COMES TO MY CAR LOOKS IN WITH A FLASHLIGHT, THEN MY ARLO QUIT FILMING!!! WHAT THE ACTUAL F!!!!! THE THIEF ONLY GETS CLOSER TO THE CAMERA AND TURNS ON A LIGHT!!!! HOW DOES IT STOP FILMING!!!!!!!?????? A 4 SECOND VIDEO IS ALL I GET!?!?!??!?! I FEEL LIKE ARLO IS THE REAL THIEF HERE, $400 FOR THIS?!?!?!?! MY SETTINGS WERE 100% ON MOTION DETECTION, COVERED THE WHOLE AREA WITH AN ACTIVITY ZONE AND THE CAMERA IS 8 FEET AWAY FROM THE THIEF WHEN IT STOPPED FILMING. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had my car broken into with my car well within the activity zone. They stole my nice dc plug in tire pump, I am lucky that was the case they could have taken anything they wanted and I would have never got any of it on video. Reliability of my Arlo is now questionable at best. There are periods it loses connection for some unknown reason maybe this was when the break in occurred. Very let down by Arlo, not what you expect on a security system with this price tag. Had issues getting it up and running, had to do a factory reset. Customer service doesn't seem like the brightest bulbs in the shed from my interaction with them. They are very slow and I felt like I understood the system better than them after tinkering with it for an hour. Arlo also proudly advertises their activity zones and shows you can make 8 anchor points to any shape. This is not true!!! This was a big selling point for me but you actually only get 5 rectangles. I found out that arlo took out that feature from reading forums though they still market it and advertise it. I think had I had the 8 anchor point activity zone I could have dialed it in even more and the break in might have gotten caught on tape (provided that was the case and it wasn't just random period of the system not being connected as it likes to do). Either way it is blatant false advertising, the rectangles are very crude and don't provide enough detail to tout that as a usable feature. BOTTOM LINE: I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA SYSTEM TO RECORD CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AND ARLO FAILED TO DELIVER WHEN I NEEDED THEM TO.

I love these cameras. Easy to install and works great! They capture everything, even a wasp lol. It has an alarm, speaking capabilities, security light turns on with movement in the dark, and more. I wish we would have bought the solar powered ones but that’s ok. There is also a delay in the communication when you talk from your phone to the camera if someone is at your house. You can see and control everything from your phone. It also stores the memory for you.

I am giving it 5 stars because AMAZON WILL BLOCK YOU FROM BADMOUNTHING THIS SC4M TACTICS. DO N0T BUY THIS PRODUCT? YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME. Let me start by saying that my experience was horrible. Amazon changed the wording from REFURBISHED to RENEWED allowing sellers to use it as an advantage click-bait when advertising their price. In the case of this product, for example, they say Arlo Pro 3 RENEWED, and you may think ok it's the newer version since they "renewed" version 2 right? BIG NO, you will receive a beat-up item with scratches all over, bad battery, horrible box with cheap tape wrapping it all over in a dusty box.
