  • Quite surprised by the quality. Has been stable and no power issues
Style: AGV750
So up until a couple of weeks ago I had a Corsair PSU that had served me pretty well thought two game pc builds that were with a R9 380X and a 3070 8GB OC pretty well. At about the same time I started getting random reboots but mainly random GPU crashes where I could still hear the game going on in the background but then it would finally reboot. System logs always pointed to an issue with the GPU driver or with the Intel power management. Went down that rabbit hole and boy did I spend a lot of time on things that did not solve the issue, but to be fair, the PSU was not coming up as having an issue at all. I performed many stress tests using Unigine, 3DMark and OCCT and more often they would pass but once in a while they would cause a reported GPU or Intel power driver crash. I even tested the PSU on a proper tester and it passed. I was stumped until the PC had a couple of random shutdowns which was new. While checking everything over I moved the 24 pin MB cable and the system powered on. It stayed on for a while but when I slightly nudged it again it shut off. I can only imagine it finally developed a kink or break somewhere that only manifested under the right conditions. I narrowed down it could be the motherboard itself or the PSU. I wanted to get a similar or better PSU but I could not get a silver or gold PSU which I would have preferred. I came across this PSU but passed it over a few times cause despite the reviews I was being snobbish I wanted a well known brand. On a budget and wanting to either exclude the PSU and move on to the motherboard and decided to buy it. I am keeping this one. I have been running it for only about two weeks but it definitely solved all my random crash issues and has let me run any game I have and had power to spare. I put this thing through a 8 hour torture test on OCCT to stress the hell outta everything and didn't have a single hiccup. In regards to noise it really isn't any louder than the Corsair it replaced. I can't notice any difference for better or worse, so I call that a positive. It's been two weeks and the entire system has been absolutely stable. I am still thinking about getting a different PSU further down the line but if this thing holds up a well as the other reviews do then I will likely keep this one and forget about getting a different one. At the very least I found a good budget PSU brand I can recommend to other people who need a PSU but can't really afford the well-known brand. ... show more

  • Worked great for a little
Style: AGV750
EDIT- this power supply was the solution to our problem but now is the same problem, again. It crapped out after not even 6 months. Buy a name brane one. My 13 year old has a gaming PC that wouldn’t turn on (it would try to turn on and shut off) after doing research he said this is what we needed. It turned right on. • Great price point for 750w and semi-modular design
Style: AGV750
Works great. NIce, semi-modular design provides all the connections needed while minimizing cables. I have this in a very compact micro atx case, and its a perfect fit with more than enough power supplied at a good price point.

  • Worked for 2 Weeks, This PSU Is a Hardware Murderer
Style: AGV750
This PSU is a straight-up hardware killer. At first, it worked fine — ran my system for about two weeks with no issue. Then one day, I smelled burning plastic, and my PC shut down instantly. No display, no keyboard lights, and the CPU debug LED lit up on my motherboard. I thought my CPU or board was faulty — so I spent more money on a brand new CPU and motherboard. Guess what? This PSU fried the second set too. Burning smell came back, and the new system completely shut down. Nothing powered back on. That’s when I checked recent reviews — and saw I wasn’t alone. People are reporting sparks, smoke, and even fires from this same model. This thing is marketed as “750W 80+ Bronze” but is clearly made with low-grade components that can’t deliver safe or stable power. I’ve built PCs for years, and I’ve never had a PSU destroy two entire systems before. This isn’t just junk — it’s dangerous. I’m returning this and replacing it with a PSU from Corsair, EVGA, or Seasonic — companies that actually protect your investment, not vaporize it. Avoid this PSU at all costs. It shouldn’t be sold. It should be investigated. ... show more

  • This is the 4th or 5th one I've bought and never had to replace any of them!
Style: AGV750
I build my own computers as well as for friends and family and had a hard time paying 30%-40% more for a name brand modular PSU. Years ago I purchased one of these for a customer build and liked that it was at least semi-modular. That was at least 5-6 years ago and all the ones I've bought over the years? Zero failures! Granted, a Gold or Platinum PSU would save some money in the long run because they're more efficient but I need something I know will work over the long haul. And I always build with 750 Watt PSU's with the exception of one that was a 600 Watt replacement. The extra wattage allows the end use to add an AIO cooler in the future if they choose to as well as plenty of lights and lighted fans, etc. I run two desktops in my own home and both use this exact PSU. Computer one was built about 3-4 years ago and computer 2 is about 1.5 years old. Both run overclocked on the CPU as well as the GPU and I've not had one minute of problems. That's including computer two running an NZXT lighting scheme as well as lit fans and an AIO cooler and I'm no where near maxed out in regards to the PSU capability. Computer one runs a few lighted fans but nothing outrageous. I've had a few other brands and they've performed well with the exception of one. The problem is the cables (by manufacturer design) are not always compatible with other power supplies so I always recommend using what you get in the box! Also, don't buy a used power supply, EVER! You never know what someone else may have done and spiked something which can effect your PSU and eventually your entire build. It's not worth the chance. These are very reasonably priced and dependable as all get out. If a customer asks me to use a specific brand I will as it's their computer but ARESGAME is my go to PSU for many reasons! If you're going to cheap out on something don't make it your PSU. ... show more
