TL;DR: I just processed my return for this rug. It just doesn’t work for me. I bought this rug for a high traffic living room with three dogs and a cat. I loved that it was machine washable, which I had planned to do weekly just because that’s how often I deep clean. I assumed upon purchase that the 9x12 would be too large to fit in my washer, so I’d have to take it to the laundromat. My assumption was correct. Additionally, I have tried vacuuming it with my Shark Vertex DuoClean Vacuum. I don’t know if it’s just the suction power of my vacuum, but even on the highest carpet pile setting (I typically vacuum my door mats on this setting so they don’t get pulled into the vacuum), it kept causing the red light “error” on my vacuum and was continuously suctioning to the bottom of the vacuum. I took the dust roller off the vacuum to see if that would help and still no. Also, I have a geriatric dog that vomits often. She threw up on the rug and it was extremely hard to clean up. The rug seems to be holding on to the color instead of releasing it. My previous Safavieh rug that was not washable was incredibly easy to wipe up and I never had any issues with puke. It never held on to any stains from anything spilled on it. The texture and feel of the rug is incredible. Soft and velvety like several other reviewers have mentioned. Soft, lays beautifully and will stand up to my active pup 👍 I have a 1 inch carpet pad underneath and works perfect as this carpet is thinner and needs something underneath if you want something that feels thick under your feet. This rug is absolutely stunning!! We are redoing our daughters’ room and wanted a pop of color and to add some soft warmth to make their room cozy. This rug was the PERFECT choice!!! It is thin, which I prefer bc of debris & dog hair. I will put a rug pad under it for a little cushion. But it is velvety soft and add so much coziness to the space. We all love it! I was looking to add color and pizzaz to my living room and this area rug has done the trick. It came in a box and that made it easy for me to handle. I opened the box and easily and quickly laid the rug out on my hardwood floors. It is soft and colorful. The backing is nice and the edges are tightly woven. It lays flat with minimum creases. I opted not to use a pad underneath. I purchased the 9x12 but could have used a 10x14(not available) in this area rug. My purchase arrived one day early and was well packaged. Exactly what I wanted! I couldn't be happier with it. The colors are pretty, it doesn't look pixilated, and it is really soft. It is thin but that is because it is washable and meant to go over a rug pad.
