I opened the box and easily and quickly laid the rug out on my hardwood floors. It is soft and colorful. The backing is nice and the edges are tightly woven. It lays flat with minimum creases. I opted not to use a pad underneath. I purchased the 9x12 but could have used a 10x14(not available) in this area rug. My purchase arrived one day early and was well packaged.
