Sadly, we only had it down for about 1.5 weeks when we had the opportunity to rescue a puppy from a kill shelter. We vacuumed it well and folded it gently. I gave this 3 stars for softness. the rug is not the softest one in the bunch, but it's OK. the style is pretty. trying to move it is a bear because the backing is quite stiff. but it looks nice and it's reasonably priced. I think this rug is a good option for medium-use spaces.

My husband and I purchased an 8' x 10' area run in 2017 for our living room. When a problem developed that affected the rug (not the rug's fault), I had to get rid of it and get another. I went to Amazon where we'd bought the first area rug. The exact rug was no longer available, but I was shown a "close" comparison. I ordered it, but the first thing I noticed when I got it out of the box was that it was MUCH thinner than my first rug. I'd say this second rug is only half as thick as my first one. No real softness. The only close comparison is that it looks good on the floor, like the first rug did. I have cats now, not dogs, and the cats love to lie on it. Sometimes, they even forego their scratching post to use the rug. Because of what I paid for it, I discourage this, but even so, it's funny. ... show more
