Warning, I received a used unit that was opened before. The box it comes in is completely torn apart and "taped" to stay together. NOT something to expect from such an expensive item! I have not yet tried it but I'm extremely disappointed that I got a used unit for the price of a NEW unit. EDIT: Ardent stepped up and they are sending me a replacement unit from their warehouse.     • CANNOT BE USED IN COUNTRIES WITH 220V POWER SUPPLY

I have reported this to Amazon before, but I see the 110v version of this product is still being advertised here for use with a step down transformer in countries with 220v or similar power supply. (Therefore almost the rest of the world outside the USA and Canada) YOUR WARRANTY IS NULL AND VOID IF THIS PRODUCT IS USED WITH A TRANSFORMER OR ADAPTOR TO REDUCE THE POWER. Ardent do have a 220v option for UK, Europe and elsewhere - but it is not available here on Amazon, you have to purchase from Ardent directly - but note further, Ardent do not ship to South Africa. Be warned! Ps. - apart from the above, this is a great product ... show more

I liked the design and while it was expensive thank others I liked that it was all automatic. It arrived in a box with the plastic bag padding but all of them were flat. It didn’t seem to be used but it was questionable. Tried to decarb on A1 and A2 and several hours later… nothing. I tried a couple other times and checked 1 hr in and it was still cold. Top it off, better keep the box it was shipped in because you need to package it yourself for return. No thanks Disappointed for sure. ... show more

    • Quit heating after a month after warrantee expired, but...

After one year of use, the unit just quit heating. All the lights work as they should but no heat. Paid over $300! And no option to return. Revision: I did finally got a hold of the company directly and they said they would replace the unit. I had to send the broken one back on my dime and am now awaiting to see what happens. Will update again when all is settled. Addendum 2: In the end, the company made good on a replacement unit with no issues. Customer service, once contact was made, was excellent. In the end, I went from my original 1-star rating to a full 5 stars. ... show more

Works as advertised but is quite expensive for what it does! To be clear, you can do everything the ardent does without owning one but for the convenience of having something do all the work and not have to constantly watch the temperatures is worth it to some. For as little as I use it, I can't say it's worth the high price tag for me, I'm still undecided if I'll keep this or not. Clean up is easy and it's simple to use, it's probably worth it if you're making edibles on a weekly or monthly basis. If you only make edibles once in a blue moon, it's likely way over priced for you. ... show more
