  • Straight figured girls rejoice! Update: A year later...
Special Size: Regular Size: Large Color: Plum
Thoughts on size/fit: I literally read hundreds of reviews (obsessed, I know) to find the best fit for my straight figure. According to the size chart for these snow pants I would need an XL in the waist and a M in the hip. I decided to order the L and hope for the best. Well, they fit great! They are slightly big, but I can easily wear a belt and can also fit leggings under them on especially cold days. They don't cut into my stomach when bending down which would be so uncomfortable when putting on my snowshoes or XC skis or picking up after my dogs. Thoughts on the actual snowpants: First of all, I'm a black, gray, neutral kind of gal, when it comes to clothing. I decided to order the plum pants and am so pleased! Cute color and goes well with my plain, dark jackets. The pants themselves feel stretchy and comfy. I got them today, immediately put them on and took my dogs for a walk in about 30 degree temperatures for about 30 minutes. The snow that gathered at the bottom of the pants skimmed off and didn't soak in at all. The pockets are fleeced lined and deep. I felt warm and also stylish compared to the big, bulky, snow pants I wore in the past. Since I just received these, I can't comment on durability. I highly recommend these if your shape is more straight than hourglass. Update: I have worn these snow pants for one full winter and they have held up well. I mostly walk in them, so nothing too strenuous. For size reference: I am 5'6" tall and weigh 165 or so. I bought the large size and they fit nicely with room for layering. I still recommend them! ... show more

  • Well made, cute cut, and comfortable!
Special Size: Regular Size: Medium Color: Steel
I love these pants! I was worried because there appear to be mixed reviews, but they arrived today and I am so impressed with the quality! They are well made, the cut is super cute, and the are warm and comfy. They are perfect! Even better than I'd hoped for!

  • Non-bulky waterproof pants!!!
Special Size: Regular Size: Medium Color: Black
These pants fit as expected (I wear a medium and purchased a medium), but are just a little wide at the waist band. (In the picture you can see how much wider they are than my waist.) I wear an elastic belt and they fit great. Even with out a belt, they stay up. They aren't heavy enough to fall down, but I had some snow get in my pants when I sat down in the snow. I love the lightweight material. Also it's a softshell material and not super plasticy so it doesn't make a ton of noise when you walk. They are very waterproof, but when I sit in the snow I can feel the cold of the snow through them. I wear these snowboarding in Utah with a pair of lularoe leggings and they keep me warm!! I also love the pocket locations and that they zip up. I love these pants...they just fit weird at the waist. ... show more

  • Runs a touch small for a curvy plus size person
Special Size: Standard Size: 3X Color: Black
Runs a bit small in the waist for a curvy plus sized person but otherwise super comfortable and the only soft shell pants I’ve found that come close to fitting.

  • almost perfect
Special Size: Tall Size: X-Small Tall Color: Steel
i’m a lean and just shy of 6ft so typically an XS in Tall would be perfect for me but this was pretty confusing. the length was perfect and i love everything about these pants but the waist was way too wide for an xs. sometimes if it’s a little loose around the waist i get it, but this was quite a few inches off and would be better if it had adjustable synching. wouldn’t recommend these pants for women on the skinner side. ... show more

  • Chic and warm
Special Size: Regular Size: Large Color: Black
I don't leave reviews often, but these ski pants really surprised me. Bought a large size in different Arctix snow pants and they were stiff, tight and shapeless. These though are shaped perfectly for a curved woman with a waist and a generous bottom, usually wearing a 8-10 depending on how much spandex in the fabric. Moreover, they kept me warm on the ski lift at 15 F, with only one more brushed fleece pant underneath. Lastly, despite several falls and tumbles on the slopes and even sliding on my behind half of a slope full of moguls, these pants simply did not get wet at all, and the seams held all my struggles beautifully. Just loved them! ... show more

  • Not Quite Waterproof
Special Size: Regular Size: Medium Color: Bluebird
I bought these snow pants because I desperately needed a new pair. I really liked the idea of a “slim fit” style to ease my vain mind. Let’s face it, one doesn’t usually equate the words snow pants and slender! I was tired of feeling like the Pillsbury Dough Boy when playing outdoors in the winter! These pants do live up to the “slim fit” wording. The fleece lining was nice and soft, though I layered with a pair of fleece-lined leggings for extra warmth. Though the weather was hovering around 32 degrees, the windchill that afternoon was in the low 20s. I was skiing that day and completely comfortable, even on the chairlifts. While I was warm, I was not dry…and, no, it wasn’t due to falls! It was snowing heavily and the chairlifts were soaking wet. I didn’t think that much of it until I got to the top of the hill, got off the chairlift, and thanks to a gust of wind, discovered that my back end was wet and rather chilly. There’s nothing worse than being wet in chilly, windy weather. Pros: The zippered pocket on the thigh is deep and perfect for storing anything you’d like. There is a ring to attach your keys to for safe keeping. No one wants to lose their car keys/hotel key on a mountain! I had no problem pulling the pant cuffs down over my ski boots. I think these are last year’s model (1. because of the heavily discounted price, & 2. because the Bluebird color was in stock on Amazon but not on the Arctyx website) because the description on the Arctyx site says that there are zippers along the lower legs for ease of pulling down over ski boots-the pair I received did not have them. I ordered the Bluebird color and it is gorgeous! A beautiful shade of teal, which I paired with a light grey ski parka. Other Cons: The two hip pockets are shallow and do not have zippers (again, I think these are last year’s model because the current Arctyx site says these pants come with zippered front pockets & the pair I received had nada). Basically don’t put anything in there that you don’t want disappearing. I liken those pockets to what you get when you buy a low-rise pair of jeans. The jeans look great, but anything you put in the front pockets will fall out the moment you even think about leaning over. In my rush to order the snow pants, I didn’t realize they weren’t the same pair as on the Arctyx web site. Are these snow pants a total dealbreaker? Ehh, I guess I have to say that I got what I paid for. I wasn’t expecting the world when I was only paying $26 for them. I’m irritated that they aren’t truly waterproof. Who want to be wet & cold while playing outside in the winter? The hip pockets are a disappointment, but thankfully my parka has enough pockets. I wouldn’t wear them on a really cold day (sub-zero weather), even with wool leggings, but that’s to be expected. They are clearly described as shell pants with a fleece lining, not insulated. The fit was too be expected. They don’t make that awful swishing noise when you walk (so you can sneak up on people?) and I didn’t feel like my butt was going to slide right off the chairlift like an old pair of cheap polyester snow pants. I’ll wear them for the rest of the season and reevaluate next winter. ... show more
