Its good for some things
Pros -very good for gaming, i can hear footsteps clear and the directions where the audio is coming from. -OK immersion on certain things. -Comfortable to wear with and without glasses. -Easy to lower down volume on the side of the headset -Easy to pull the mic headset and put it back after use. Cons -If you like bass, this isn't it. The bass isn't good and if you max it 12.0dB and make some changes to the settings it doesn't really make a difference, its weak. To make things worst I have a 30-dollar gaming headset and that headset have better bass than these. Thats sad. -The configuration that has in the software are TERRIBLE, way too flat and audio isn't balance at all and please do not use any configuration that are for "specific games" (Theres presetting's for certain games and they are BAD). -Listening to music isn't it as well. Sub, Bass, Low mids and high aren't even good. I only found my liking is using the configuration to "Music: Deep Bass" that are MUCH better than the rest of the configuration settings. -Default settings is very terrible. Just please do not use that and change it quick. -Connection is also very bad. I walk 8-15 feet from my living room to the bathroom and I'm losing connection sooo much that i just leave my headset at my desk. I could not be bother hearing the loud beeping sound that keeps telling me it lost connection and reconnecting. -Booting up the PC will make the wireless transmitter to turn off. I will need unplug and re-plug it to my PC and turn off the headset and turn it back on to connect. Almost every time i turn on my PC. -Noise cancellation? These for sure aren't noise cancelling. I could hear the background i can hear my phone i can hear my family members talking to me without taking it off my headset. -The price. Not worth it, If only i return these before the return window closed. Now I'm stuck using these ... show more

no battery life, constant beeping
With A battery life lasting a whopping 2 hours, and a series of 3 beeps happening every 15 or so minutes you will wonder why you ever "upgraded" from a wired connection (especially since They practically NEED to be wired) , my earbuds have a longer battery life, and charge faster. The lack of adjustment is also a pain as I cannot get these large enough to properly fit my head. Crushing my ears and giving me a headache seem to be the specialty of these headphones. I do not recommend these headphones and I will be putting in for a refund. Update It broke after just a few months ... show more

Sick of the noise cutting out
My brother gave me a pair of arctic 9x’s. Does what it should and it’s a decent headset, but don’t buy if you’re a gamer on pc. Not sure if it has the same issues on Xbox, but every time I play videos or am on discord and switch back to the game or pause, the video or music the game sound and chat cuts off. Im tired of having to restart the headset. I messed with a whole bunch of settings in game, on the computer, and in the steel series app… I feel like I shouldn’t have to go through this much trouble shooting or have to create an account to send a ticket for something that should be standard in a set of headphones. I do not recommend
I do not recommend, I've owned two and while the sound quality is nice both pairs had an issue where it will randomly turn off mid use regardless of battery life and this issue became more frequent the longer i had them.

No support when it eventually breaks.
While it works beautifully while it does work, it will eventually break. I've owned several incarnations of the Arctis (this one was my last one) and every single one of them has had some kind of terrible flaw that eventually renders it broken and in need of repair. My most recent one randomly stopped connecting via bluetooth entirely and stopped playing audio unless it was physically plugged in. This wouldn't be a huge deal normally, after all, tech breaks all the time, but Steel Series has changed their website to completely disable submitting support tickets. I have found no way to get my problems fixed, and for this, they have lost a long time customer. Screw this company. ... show more
