I buy this pad and cut it in half for my environment pieces. It has a wonderful texture, and it really is worth every extra penny. The control you have over your water saturation is unbeatable - dries just slow enough to allow for wonderful wet on wet techniques, but fast enough that you don't need to use a hairdryer too much if you're impatient like me. I've tried various watercolor paper and hands down this is the top of the line. The rough texture pad gives my artwork the best results. It holds and spreads water evenly and it's quite durable.
