I was skeptical about this welding helmet when I first purchased it, I wanted a auto darkening for my shop at the house, so I purchased an arc captain for under 40 bucks. Upon arrival I unboxed it and ran a few beads with my mig and my stick welder. This helmet with the blue lens is the clearest I have ever had the privilege of using, since I was able to see better my welds turned out pretty close to perfect, it was easy to use and I really like the grind setting on this helmet, you really never have to take it off. So I liked the helmet so much I bought two more, one for the wife and another to replace iron man save phase mask at the shop I work at. I've been welding since I was a teenager in shop class and I'm almost 40 years old now, I've used a lot of welding helmets and the arc captain is hands down my favorite and I highly recommend that what ever level of welder you are , get an arc captain, they are well built and in my opinion under priced for the value you get.

I’ve had this hood for about six months now, and I think it’s a cute, affordable option. My options definitely adds a little femininity to the shop while still getting the job done. It works great, comes with everything you need, and has been a solid starter hood for me. Overall, I’d definitely recommend for a budget friendly welding helmet.

This welding helmet is top tier. I needed a new helmet due to my old one being beaten up and batter over the last 5 years and not being able to see my welds anymore. The only thing my old one is good for is keeping me from burning my retinas out. This Arccaptain welding helmet is phenomenal especially for this price range. I can see my welds crystal clear now and I absolutely love the true color view it allows me to see it better than the classic dark green tint on other helmets! I really enjoy the grinding/welding setting which allows the auto dimming to turn off when you’re grinding so that you can continue to see what you’re doing all while having good protection! A 9/10 for me!

Hold up, what?....Talk about never judge a book by its cover!... When I first seen this hood I started to laugh a little. But lemme tell ya sum....This cheap lil shawty caught me by surprise! Amazing clear lens. Love the true color. Don't care too much for the graphics on the hood. However, this model was the only one at the time that was same day delivery and I desperately needed one due to my main hood breaking. But I'm not going to let the graphic design affect my rating of the hoods true performance. The clarity of the lens is surprisingly top tier quality and the true color view of everything looks so much better than the classic green tint. Only true negative is the head band has a single and very thin (almost paper like) foam strip that goes on your forehead. After using for over 30 minutes it starts to dig in and hurt slightly. I corrected it by removing the old foam and replaced it with a much thicker and more comfortable pad. Overall, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quality hood without breaking the bank in anyway. Would also buy over and over again.

Better than expected. One of those rare instances where you aren't let down. I can't even say that they met my expectations...because they far surpassed them. Not a full time welder... but have to do enough that I can't have crap ass gear. I'm really happy with my youtja mask.

Tooka second or two to figure out how to fit it to my head, but allis good! Light weight, comfortable helmet. I had to turn down the darkness alot to see while Flux Core welding. Very pleased with the helmet... that came with leather gloves, spare lens and STICKERS!!
