I've been playing around with a small tig welder borrowing a tank and regulator but this one has worked just as well as the other. Hook it up and you see the pressure and give the handle a spin to adjust the flow. Nothing complicated and it is well made. Quite happy with it.

After a mishap with my old gauges where the lens fell off and vanished I stumbled upon the ARCCAPTAIN Argon CO2 Regulators for just $32. Intrigued by the price I decided to give them a whirl. These gauges have proven to be a solid replacement working seamlessly with my MIG and TIG setups. While they haven’t magically improved my welding skills I can still splatter along just as before. ArcCaptain quality - I put this regulator on my argon Co2 bottle - no leaks - works great. It is a little smaller than I thought it was going to be though. The diameter of the body of the regulator weighs in at 1.7 inches. The diameter of gauges 1.97" - so, 2 inch. It's nice - works well - smooth adjustment - reads easy. This is partially me being a newby and partially a bad description. But when a guy gets an item that tells them they can’t use it for the purpose printed on the box until they buy an adapter well… Key takeaway: If you plan on using this regulator with CO2 you will need an adapter that is not provided. A description of the adapter is in the instructions. Strangely the description felt less helpful and more like a kick in the private parts. Had I known this was where they were saving money, I’d have spent the money and started my project a week earlier. ... show more
