So far so good... Striate up, all the owners manual instructions are in Chinese, till you get to the end. I was very skeptical about buying this instead of a name brand. The only motor on the market that clamed both salt water and fresh water with the same unit. All the salt water guys are loving this motor. All the features you want, for half the price... So far, so good... This motor pushes my 2500 lbs. boat around with ease... It's quite, strong, and is really simple to use. I love that it's all digital, and when you hit the "Power" button, the motor eases into the power quickly, instead of the old way of "All Power On" That old way made me think the motor was going to rip right off the nose of the boat. Not here... It flows the power on for a smooth, non-jarring take off. It's not a dial for the power, instead it allows 10 settings for the power, = each increment is 10%, allowing you to fine tune your speed. All in All, I'm very happy with this motor, but there is no warrantee, so I hope I got a good one and it lasts. 1 Bad feature is there is not power button. As soon as you hook up the batteries, the motor is powered, so there was an arc as soon as you touch the terminals to the leads. Not going to work with on board battery chargers unless you wire up a "Kill switch" and the factory leads are only like 20" I don't know any boat that has a storage for 2 12V deep cycles with in 20 " of a bow mounted motor, so plan on bolting longer leads onto the factory leads, and making sure you insulate that connection WELL. A few miner adjustments for the install, but this motor is really cool. So far, I'm happy with my choice, but I'm really interested to see how long this lasts.... I fish!!! 45 days last summer, and 28 as of 9/1/20 of this summer. READY FOR THE FALL BITE!!!! ... show more

    • Circuit board trouble?

I first purchased a 55 lb thrust for my 18 foot Bass Tracker. The remote would start to beep and the motor would shut off. Then I upgraded to the 80 lb thrust, which requires a larger breaker and 24 volt. I thought maybe my boat was to heavy for the 55 lb. The same problem happened. The retailer did take back the motor and gave me a full refund. I purchased a different brand and have not had any issues. I think the CIRCUT boards in the motors over heat and then the problems start. My neighbor uas a 55 lb and is experiencing the same issues.. His boat is smaller and lighter so, it does not happen as often and he is happy with it.. The Company and customer service is very GOOD at Hawing.. Good luck ... show more

Works very well for me for bottom bouncing for walleye in 20-40 ft of water. Be careful tho as it can self deploy as the cradle doesn't lock the motor in place. I hit a wave once and it deployed over the bow, so secure it in place when moving. Remote works great to the point where I never use the foot pedal. No gps tracking or anchor mode but I don't need those features. At half the price of the well known brand, it's a good buy imo. ... show more

    • Good Value for the Cost but Has Some Problems

Was operating a friend's boat with this trolling motor and due to some confusion in starting up in rough water we forgot to install the Velcro strap that prevents inadvertent deployment while underway. The motor self deployed at about 15 mph and wrecked the gear housing. Bought a second one because of the value for the money and figuring that could never happen again from that tough lesson. It has not so far but this is a shortcoming in the design that required a band aide to fix those already sold or produced, Both the first and second trolling motors have a mechanical resonance at a moderate speed that requires operating at either a higher speed or a lower speed to keep loud whirring noise abated. Believe this to be a structural design problem since it happened on both trolling motors. Still the overall cost versus performance is quite good, Hopefully the manufacturer will address these problems for future production and then they will have an exceptional product for function versus cost. ... show more

    • Decent motor for the price but.....

I mounted this on the front deck of our 21 ft pontoon hoping to get 5mph. I realize that was probably to much to ask. We are getting 4mph which is very acceptable and it works very well for trolling along weed edges for bass fishing. If you are hoping for Minnkota quality and Precision keep looking. The remote works well but it has some lag. My minnkota is immediate and much more precise. I'm hoping for good longevity and durability but that's for a future review. Update after installing 2 brand new series 27 deep cycle batteries the motor would not run at full power. It would immediately shut off. After going back and forth with aqua less than steller customer service I had my son who is a master auto tech look at it. Right away he said that the battery jumper needed to be larger guage wire. I made up a 8 guage jumper and it now works like it should ... show more

    • Not overly impressed but not disappointed.
I used this trolling motor for the Columbia River on a small aluminum boat, it does ok but cuts out frequently. I purchased 2 brand new deep cycle batteries that are both rated for 90 amp hours, I get about 5-6 hours of back trolling with this configuration. I frequently have to turn the propeller back on because it shuts itself off. I would ultimately say that you get what you pay for, this motor is about $1000 less then Minn Kota of comparable thrust. ... show more

Lot's of power...works as advertised. I don't suggest buying one with only the hand held wireless remote. The foot control gives you a solid hard wire connection to the motor. The hand remote depends on wireless connection. If it stops working, battery goes dead, whatever...you ain't going anywhere! Also of note...they stand behind their product 100%. The guarantee is solid. I had to use it and their response was quick and satisfactory. The unit is built very solid and works as advertised. I don't recommend running this, or any trolling motor, on highest power for prolonged periods, this isn't a substitute for an outboard. Otherwise, it will run for hours when used with some common sense. ... show more

Received this in 3 different boxes. It did take some time to put it together. You Tube was very helpful. I advise watching that to help with the set up. I have a 24' pontoon and this motor has a lot of power - 80 thrust. It's not big an bulky like my old one. The price was reasonable and is better than I expected.
