Secure your fence or railing gate with the AquaLatch safety pool gate latch. Manufactured from high quality, durable polymer the AquaLatch will not rust or corrode over time. The AquaLatch gate latch also features a simple, yet practical design and provides superior functionality. It will work on vinyl, wood or metal gates and meets all international pool codes. The AquaLatch gate latch comes with 4 keys and is keyed alike, so if you purchase multiple they will work with the same key for your convenience. If you need additional keys, please message us with the 3-digit key number (ex. M-123). The AquaLatch gate latch can be installed for left or right swinging gates; see installation instructions for details. The AquaLatch gate latch features a top pull design for added safety so that children cannot reach the latch to open it. The AquaLatch has the "Safe-Alert" feature - a red stripe under the top pull tab that is visible only when the gate is not latched. The AquaLatch comes with everything you need for installation, including the latch, instructions and all fasteners. This latch requires a gate gap between 1/2 inches and 2-1/2 inches. The AquaLatch gate latch is made for square gate posts and gate frames, and requires the round post adapter for round posts. Search for ASIN B01KECZV52 for the round post adapter. The actual dimensions for the AquaLatch latch are 4.2 inches wide, 20-1/2 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches depth when installed. it was easy to install after i dry fitted it. i got this 20” after the gate and fence was installed, i almost had too small of a gap between the pole and gate but it works perfectly. 1/2 is minimum gap. i absolutely love it.

I got it in so fast and passed code inspection. It was easy to get it lined up and there are ways to adjust it after you have committed to the hole locations. It's amazing how easy it is to open from the top and how it latches so solid to prevent the kids from pulling it open. I bought a round post kit to got with this as I was installing on chain link fence. I'm not super handy but I figured it out. A cordless drill is a must and that's about it! ... show more

I found this a little difficult to install, mainly getting everything lined up. It is adjustable up and down, but not at an angle. So if your gate sags over time, like mine does, it will be difficult to keep lined up. Also there is no "click" when the gate latches, it's very quiet. I find myself turning around all the time after exiting to make sure that it actually latched, since it doesn't click like my old one did. It does the job of securing the gate and making it difficult to small children to open. It is lockable with a key which is nice. ... show more

Allowed us to meet local permit pool barrier requirements for small children safety. The deck gates had to be 48" and the latch 54" from bottom of the gates. Latches are easy to operate from both sides of the gate. Without using the key, you can only unlatch when the top tab is pulled up and gate pushed/pulled. And you can lock latches with key to make the tab inoperable. Yes it has plastic parts so you are aware. I'd buy again. ... show more
