  • No leaks
Testing seals for leaks. So far so good. Will update if any failures are detected. Seals are rather soft and deform with a deep groove after removing. This happens whether you tighten gently or crank down hard. I expect deformation is normal and desirable. Seal may stick to the mouth of container when lid is removed, so watch that when reattaching lids. I'd pull the seal off the collar, set back into the lid, smooth it out with a finger tip all around, then reattach. Hopefully this action resists multiple cross-over-deformations or seal damage. So far I think a gentle tighten is sufficient to prevent leaking. Finger tight to barely snug, then tug just a little more. Not much. This is in response to others who had problems with leaks which may now be addressed. I will probably get a spare set of seals in case, for very long term use. If one does fail or gets lost, I will be wanting a spare right then, not later. There are 5 lids and 1 tap/lid. I'd prefer to have 6 lids for storage and 1 tap/lid for when tapping is actually needed. I may get a spare lid. If I took it camping, I would definitely not carry it with the tap/lid attached, and not get it bumped around in travel. Its thin and would want to resist breakage in transit. Parts of the tap are rather thin. Don't tell your overgrown teenage boy who might not be too sensitive or thoughtful yet to "close the tap REAL GOOD". You may have a problem. Something like that. Really a simple turn is sufficient. But I like how they have a vent tube inserted INTO the spigot. I was wondering if I could source a stainless steel one like from my gravity feed water filter and put on instead for durability, but it wouldn't have the venting feature. Hole size is different but I could buy a spare lid and modify, but no vent. Others wouldn't want to bother with that but some of us think that way. I'd like to see a whole redesign, with a travel cap over the tap, or something more durable. But that would probably cost more, so how necessary is it? Sagan, I am wondering if the material used for the seal is something that easily will sit on the shelf for a long time, UNUSED, and not break-down. Should I keep spare seals out of UV or in or NOT in a zip bag or other plastic container? Separate from each other? Some plastics like rubber bands get gooey when stored with other plastic. Store away from heat? What's best? Besides all the above, the containers are great. Compared to other military-looking, sturdy-looking hard plastic containers, the cost is not much different. These STACK nicely while others don't. The molded double-handles make easy carry. Now I have them, I am satisfied with price/performance, except I'd like a spare lid in the box. ... show more

  • Manageable water storage
When power goes out so does our water pump. For this reason we have kept 7 gallon containers full of water which are hard to lift for my husband and I, both in our 70s. After studying different styles I went with these and am so happy! These each hold enough water for drinking and flushing toilets without being too heavy, are BPA free, darker color to keep water, perfectly balanced with double handles for pouring, nice wide openings for cleaning, and food storage and stack or stand. No leaks. I did get 1-2 lids that leaked so matched them with different bottles to remedy. I then numbered the bottles and caps so that I’m sure to match up the correct ones in the future. I love that these fit in my cabinet and plan to rotate and use a couple every few months so that we always have fresh good tasting water. Pricey, but great quality. Definitely recommend these. I also purchased a 7th container with the filtration system as we are sometimes threatened with wild fires. This 7th container can be used in case we are in an area without potable water available. ... show more

  • Almost perfect
I love how practical these are, however they are quite expensive for the state they came in. Three of the containers have a messed up seal, and slowly leak water. The Three that don't leak fit perfectly in the trunk of my car, and don't slide around since I put them on a small rubber mat. The Three that do leak water still function well when placed brightside up, and since I'm not going to be able to fit any more in my car, they work great when stored at home. You can also fill them with things like oats, rice, beans, etc. if they don't hold water well. They are made from high quality, non toxic plastic, and that's probably why they're so expensive. ... show more

  • Good quality, convenient size
The 3 gallon size, handles and square shape make it very convenient & portable.
Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2024 by I was very happy with the quality of the product. As long as you are careful with getting the proper size it is great.

  • Easy to clean and lift, sturdy
My sister got a similar product but you can’t reach in all the way to clean. These ones, you can get a bottle brush and your whole arm in there to clean the inside. They feel very sturdy and the two handles make them easy to move around. We are heading on a weekend trip to a place with well water (I prefer our city water) and it’s nice to be able to take one of these with us instead of using single use plastic. We ordered a set and will be getting a second set so that we can each keep one of these in our cars, and fill one with rice and one with beans, and the rest with water for emergency/disaster preparedness. ... show more

  • So far so good , Just right size to tote around!
The size is just right for us older people to carry around. Easy to set on a counter or table and use the spick-et that comes with the set. I will use for my emergency water supply. I have 3 set on a rolling shelf with my emergency food and supplies so if I have to go, I will roll over to my truck or small house trailer and get out of town. Great idea with the stack able set up! ... show more

  • Good product! Good customer service
Not much to say. They do their job as containers. They're durable and they stack well. Spigot works well. One was leaky and they sent me a replacement with no fuss.

  • Good so far
I received the containers, cleaned them with water and vinegar and let them dry, which they mostly did. Then filled with water and have had them on their sides for about 2 weeks and no leaks. I noticed that I had to make sure the gasket was seated properly or there would be leaks when I was initially cleaning them. So far still no leaks. ... show more
