I have a well and after a neighbor installed a filter system on his home I decided to put forth the effort to install one on mine. I found the price of these filters for a 6 pack to be cheaper than the big brand names. The photo is is the first one after about 4 months. I definitely know it's working like it should. I have no more mineral build up in my sinks or toilet tank. Before I would notice a film building in my toilet bowl the next day after cleaning it. I would clean out the tank to remove all the mineral build up and within a couple of days would see it start to form again. This has stopped that and my shower is staying cleaner also. ... show more

These filters perform as described. I live in a place where I use well water instead of city water so the water is full of minerals and sediment. With 3 of us in the house, I change this filter every 30 days to avoid "stuff" getting into our daily use water. Porcelain fixtures stay white and sediment doesn't build up on any of those fixtures.
