This little light packs some power. I was a little skeptical about it at first, but it's true that it punches well above its weight class. Everyone from cinematographers to content creators (because there is a difference between the two) need this light in their arsenal. You can get so many creative shots because of its compact size. Being v mount compatible while remaining light in weight makes it super portable light. I would recommend that you pay the 9.99 a month for the sidus link pro app because it makes the light and all of its functions way easier to use.

The 80c is hands down the best light for a small footprint team. The color is amazing, of course, but the power was beyond advertised. Most likely picking up a second.

Honestly, I didn’t expect this light to pack such a punch. The Storm 80c is super compact, but it delivers big-time clean output, great color, and so versatile. I’ve used it in a few setups now, and it keeps impressing me. Definitely one of those lights you end up reaching for way more than you thought you would.

I had been looking for a small LED light that I could use indoors or outdoors, considering I live in the Pacific Northwest and often encounter drizzly conditions. I also wanted a light that works within the Aputure ecosystem. After comparing this to the Nanlite Forza 60C, I decided on the Aputure 80C because it is more rugged and offers more accessories. The light is small and feels dense for its size. However, it is pretty bright, and I appreciate the ability to fine-tune the output and the fantastic color when shooting with "white" light. The BLAIR-CG light (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red/Cyan/Green) does make a difference in skin tones. It's a minor thing, but I appreciate the Vmount built into the yolk of the light. I hope Aputure comes out with a light between the 80c and the 1000c, as I will buy it if they do. Don't hesitate to purchase this light if you want something small, excellent quality, rugged, color-accurate, and bright for the size.

Punches well above its weight and very versatile to use in almost all situations. I mostly use it with a fresnel as a hair light or a spotlight attachment to cast shadows to a scene.

Blown away by another win from Aputure. It's my new favorite light (and I'm an Aputure fanboy). I'm looking forward to the introduction of the spotlight mount and other attachments. Highly recommend the fresnel and barn doors.

This will be strange to say, but I think this is going to be one of the most important lights that’s been created in the last five or 10 years. It’s versatility and and mobility (with the ability to mount an Anton Bauer style battery) in addition to all of the accessories available to modify. The light on board is game changing. I bought one to test, but I kind of wish I had bought the three pack with a case because I’m most certainly going to get more of these. In combination with Aputure’s E 26 bulb and a lot of of their other lights, they can all be controlled via a single app or DMX controller, this feels a spot in the light kit, which, for some reason had not really been filled in this form factor with so many options on board. Not to mention the fact that the light quality is phenomenal. It really does straddle an interesting line between professional and high-end amateur lighting gear.
