    • Fantastic for Budget Production - MANY Uses
Primarily, I like the minimalism of the UI. Basically, a scroll wheel with an integrated button, and an on/off switch. The provided diffusion is a silicone, flexible material and very pleasing to the eye, the raw light has pretty distinctive diodes visible behind very light plastic diffusion, so isn't really directly lens friendly. Very powerful, great punch packed in a small package. Get it on sale and stash it in your repertoire. [B+ Product] ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am a user of Aputure lights, and I knew that this little light was not going to let me down. It is spectacular, it illuminates much more than I had imagined, I had seen many reviews, but it is much more powerful than you can expect

    • Amazing!
Supper recommend this light. Very compact and works well. Took me about a month to get it but I order it over the holidays so I’m guessing that was the problem. But other than that the product is excellent! You can also control the light from your phone, ease use, great battery life.

The Aputure Amaran AL-MC RGBWW On-Camera Video Light has been perfect for my needs, especially for product lighting and local concert photography. It’s portable, convenient, and offers a wide range of settings that allow me to easily adjust the lighting for any situation. The app provides even more control, which is a great feature. The carrying case is also a nice bonus—very well-made and adds to the overall quality of the product. • I mean, when you buy one you buy more.
I love these little things. Got one last year and absolutely loved it. Saw that they were on sale for prime day and bought 5 more. It’s surprising how bright these little guys are. I love the ability to control them with my phone and change them to absolutely any color I want. Just used them on a shoot a couple days ago. One of my favorite things is magnets and these don’t fall short. These magnets they use are super strong and make this little light so versatile! The shoot I did the other day I only mounted these with the magnets. So that makes live jugs so worth living. Also have I mentioned I really love these little guys. Well if I forgot I just did. Can’t complain. Oh the caring bag they come with too. That’s some sweet swag. ... show more

    • Good portable light
Overall it's a good little light, but compared to some of the cheaper Chinese knocks off ones if falls short in a couple areas for me. PROS - Bright! - I like the rubber diffuser add-on - Built-in magnets on back are super useful! - Sturdy, feel hefty and well built CONS - Battery life is shorter than the knock off I got for $12 (and it's only slighter brighter when diffused) - Cannot power on while plugged in which means it only either run off battery or be in charge mode (unlike the knock off which I can plug in and it'll run off a usb-c adapter) - Expensive (can spend the same amount and get 4+ of the cheaper ones) ... show more

    • Great accent light, and more (does everything you can ask from a light)
This light is small, but is one hell of an accent light (could use it for a main or fill light in up close shots).. The preset "FX" are great. My only complaint would be that the app is not easily navigated. The app clearly did not consider the use of intuitive navigation, and seems like a beta version. So, I haven't used the app functions on it. I've simply used it with the buttons, and it works great. ... show more
